Chapter 11:
Jarrad's P.O.V
I didn't know what was going on when Damon barged through our front door and Lilly followed behind, looking really grim. I thought for sure Damon got her caught up in something to do with our gang.
"What happened?" I asked Lilly instead of Damon. She looked so shaken that I just wanted to hug her and tell her everything will be okay.
She looked up at me and her eye began to tear up. Oh no, it must have been something serious because I've never seen her cry before, or even begin to for that matter. I walked over to her and hugged her, ignoring the glare from Damon, and took her into the lounge to sit on the couch next to me.
Damon and Jack followed behind and sat in the two-seater opposite us. As she leaned into my shoulder, I patted her back soothingly.
"Hey, everything is going to be okay" I whispered into her ear and gave her a small smile. Lilly looked up at me and I could see in her eyes were full of sadness and fear, which made me pull her tighter towards me.
"What happened?" Jack asked Damon, as it looked like Lilly couldn't even speak. Damon let out a heavy sigh.
"Honestly I don't know... Out of nowhere this black SUV nearly knocked us off the road and when we escaped it was at my apartment waiting..." Jack and I looked at each other then looked back at Damon.
"Who could that be? None of the gangs we know roll around in SUV's?" I asked completely confused. Damon shook his head.
"I don't know who it was, but it wasn't meant for me..." He said looking at Lilly. What the hell?! The black SUV was after her? But why?!
I looked down at her and she stiffened, obviously it was something serious. She looked up at me sadly and I gave her a small smile of encouragement.
"You can tell us anything Lilly, we won't judge you or hate you for it." She let out a shaky sigh before looking at me with a pained expression.
"Those guys were my parents body guards..." Her voice came out in a whisper making it hard for us to hear.
"Why would your parents body guards be looking for you?" I asked encouraging her to continue. She shook her head in defeat, it seemed like she really didn't want to talk about it, but we had to know.
"I ran away from home, and haven't called them or replied to their messages, so my guess is they found out that I was hiding out at Damon's place." Her expression looked even more worse then before. Who were her parents? If they needed body guards they must be high up.
"Why did you run away from home?" Jack asked fully concerned at what was going on.
"They arranged a marriage between me and Harry. When it comes to my parents, nothing I say or do will ever change their decision, so I left. Damon was the one that offered me to stay at his, but now it looks like I won't be able to stay there anymore..." She looked at jack sadly, before looking at Damon, who was off in his own world. He had the scariest look on his face, though his eyes were closed, I knew that if he opened them, they would be deadly enough to kill someone.
"Harry? You mean the leader of the small branch of the Scarlet Knights?" Jack asked and Lilly looked at him confused. Damon opened his eyes and glared at Jack. Wow, now if that wasn't a sign to shut up, I don't know what was.
"What do you mean leader of the Scarlet Knights? What's that?" Lilly asked Jack, but because of the look Damon was giving him, there was no way he was going to say anything. Come to think of it, Lilly really knew nothing about us.
