Whose Coming? Newborns
Meeting Paul's mom was a whirlwind, but the farewell was even more horrendous. Jen left a sizable amount of damage after Adrien and Paul asked for Sarah to move back home.
She had cursed out Adrien with practically every swear word known to man after scrambling to pack her luggage. Then it was Paul's turn to receive her wrath with Jen confronting him about spending every night at my house.
Jen must have picked up on how close Paul and I were along with the abundant secrecy amongst the pack. From the watered down version Paul reluctantly told me was that she didn't think I was good enough for Paul and I was a distraction from him going to college in California.
After that a heated argument broke out between Adrien and Jen; Adrien defended mine and Paul's relationship while promising Sarah that she would be coming home.
Paul recounted all of drama from just yesterday as we drove through Forks.
"She must be really lonely," I mumbled, not taking any offense to what she thought about me. Paul and I have come so far from when we first met and the both us have easily grown secure with one another.
"That doesn't justify anything she's doing," Paul grumbled out in anger, "she just thinks can control everything. My parents aren't even together anymore and you saw how much she wanted to control me and my dad."
I nodded in agreement, "living in a richer neighborhood definitely got to her. Do you think your dad is really gonna go to court for custody?"
"Yeah, he's kinda hell bent to get Sarah away from her, he headed to Seattle to meet with a lawyer today too."
"Seattle, really? That city's been getting crazy lately."
Paul didn't respond, visibly upset from everything his mom has been putting his family through. I looked to the road and thought of where we were headed- understandably going to Bella's graduation party was looking more tedious in the grand scheme of things.
"Hey we can just stop in for a few minutes," I told him.
"No, I know you want to go."
"Honestly, it's okay, I want to make sure she gets her present but it's not like we'll know anyone. We can go back and hang with the pack."
Paul gave me a small smile of thanks and reached for my hand, "Thank you. I don't get why you didn't want to me to tell Jake to come? Or even Seth."
"It makes sense why Jacob shouldn't be there, he forced himself on her."
"What?" Paul glanced over to me, his attention diverted from the road, but none the less his driving was perfect.
"He didn't tell you guys?" Huh, I'm surprised he kept it a secret for so long.
"He kissed Bella, and she was trying to push him off. So when he didn't get off of her, she punched him, and fractured her hand."
"Jesus, this kid is making everything worse for the pack, I wish he would find his imprint already." Paul groaned as we made the turn onto the Cullen's drive.
"Holy shit," I gasped once seeing the sheer amount of people inside the Cullen's house. Cars were lined up all along the driveway and the glass walls revealed the copious amount of teenage dancing inside.
