[12:30✧tuesday]

felix couldn't stop babbling about the p.a.c grouping, causing the other two to look forward to it too. as lunch break came, the hyped blond shot up from his seat and ran out of the classroom, forcing his two other friends to run after him. they met a confused jeongin on the way, and the poor boy did not have time to react before getting dragged behind his friends.

arriving at the same room they went to in the morning , they saw hyunjin and his friends setting up some boxes and slips of paper.

"...hi," felix greeted with a small wave, causing the four older boys to look up from their work.

"hello guys, come in!" chan replied and guided the four younger boys into the room.

"is there anything we can help with?" seungmin asked softly when he noticed that the committee members had yet to put an end to their preparation work.

"no no, it's fine. we're close to finishing," minho said with a smile.

"just sit here in front of us and wait, okay? the others will be coming soon and we'll start," even the normally cool changbin softened his voice with the puppycat duo.

"okay!" felix responded enthusiastically, giving changbin a toothy grin as he plopped down next to his friends.

soon enough, the meeting begun. the rules of the random draw were explained by chan, and it started straight afterwards. since all the dance major members were drawing their partners first, seungmin stayed on the floor with jisung and jeongin while felix stepped out to the front.

with his body filled with anticipation, seungmin watched as each dance major member drew their destined partners.

"i got...seungmin!" felix exclaimed happily when it was his turn. seungmin clapped happily, being satisfied with the result. as the random draw went on, jisung got picked by minho, and jeongin ended up partnering with chan.

"hope everyone is happy with their results! if you're not, you can still make slight adjustments with each other. however, you'd have to inform any one of the four committee members by the end of today. you are free to go now!" chan told the members, clapping his hand twice to signal the end of the meeting.

as students were piling up around the entrance, wanting to leave as soon as possible for lunch, changbin called out for seungmin. the younger boy excused himself from his friends and walked over to him.

"hey seungmin, is it possible for me to exchange partners with you? i kinda want to have felix as my partner..." the boy with black hair said, rubbing the back of his neck, a blush visible on his sharp face.

the brunet hesitated for a while, pondering over the request from the older boy. he was not dense, and noticed the pair stealing glances from each other. he would love to see the cool blacked-haired boy and the cute blond getting together, but switching partners with the older meant he would have to partner with someone who he might not be close with. speaking of which —

"who's your partner?" seungmin asked.

"oh! hyunjin over here," the shorter boy replied, pulling the boy to his side. the handsome boy gave the younger a light wave and a lopsided smile.

seungmin's heart fluttered a little at the confident boy in front of him.

what was that? minnie, stop. if you fall for him you'll just end up getting hurt-

"i'm fine with it. i'll help you ask felix," seungmin accepted changbin's request, before his inner voice could stop him. he gave the latter a knowing look and approached his baby-faced friend.

what have you done?! you'll just spend more time with him-

"seungmin! i was think about doing a cover of twice's dan-" his blond friend said with enthusiasm.

"actually, changbin over there wants to switch partners with me. he said he 'got tired of seeing hyunjin's face every time' and he thinks you'd make a good partner. i have no problem with it. what do you think?"

things i do for my friends...

"oh, sure! i guess?" felix said glancing in changbin's direction with his mouth corners turning up a little.

with the adjustments settled, the four younger boys walked with their respective partners, brainstorming performance ideas on their way to the cafeteria.
