Chapter 7

Tae pulled me closer to him and further away from Felix as if suddenly not trusting him.

But I felt like there was still more to the story Felix hadn't said yet and Tae was already jumping to conclusions

I sigh and I loosen Taes grip around me,  giving him a look that told him I was fine.

He nodded letting out a breath and let go of me. Just for me to move closer to Felix and put my hand in his

"Go ahead and finish" I said with a soft smile and he looked shocked as if he was going to leave at that and that we would think that was all there was to that story

But no. There was more. Even though he was content with being the bad guy. I wasnt. I wanted to know everything

He let out a breath

"But I couldnt kill you, when you told me what Luke had done to your family. I wish I killed him with my bare hands. I've always hated him since he killed my mother. But he beated me till I believed I actually didnt have a place in this world" he said with a sniffle and when he looked up we saw the tears that fell

My expression softened as I looked at him, just to move closer and embrace him. "You do belong. You can fit in anywhere you want. And until then. You can crash with us till you get on your feet" I said with a smile as I pulled away

I lay flat on the couch. "Its good to be home" I breathed out and Felix giggled at my current state

"Yah the doctor said to be careful! You still arent fully healed" I groaned at Taes words

"I've been careful for the last month! I think I'm okay!" I fired back and all he could do was sigh at my stubbornness

I got up and walked towards my daughters bedroom. She smiled when she saw me

'Hi mom!' She signed and I smiled

'Hi sweetheart! Theres someone I want you to meet!' She nodded and followed behind me.

I took her hand and we walked into the living room where Tae and Felix were

"Charlie this is Felix! Felix this is my daughter Charlie" his eyes widened when his eyes landed on her.

Her cheeks flushed at the attention but I knew the look in Felix's eyes, admiration.

I smile, as she slightly waves.

"You're also Luke's daughter, right?" He asked Charlie and she nodded. Felix frowned a bit at the fact she wouldnt speak to him. But little did he know

Charlie turned to me 'tell him I like his hair' she signed and i nodded "she says he likes you hair" i relayed the message as his eyes widened "shes mute?" He asked and she nodded

He smiled "thanks, but I think you're way beautiful" he hits himself when he realized that wasnt proper grammar

I laughed 'tell him hes handsome' she signed to me

"She says you're handsome." His eyes widened "no I'm not" he said waving him hands around

She let out a hoarse laugh. She can speak. But its inaudible sadly. But she gets around

He looked at her "that was the cutest laugh I've ever heard" he said in amazement of her. I walked over to Tae

"I think this calls for take out" I say trying to persuade my fiance to get greasy food. He let out a laugh and nodded.

I turned around to help translate again but she pulled out her phone and used the voice app she has. She types and it speaks out loud. I smile at my smart baby girl

The rest of the night no one could separate them till they were basically falling asleep sitting up.

That's when we all went to bed. They were cuddling on the couch after the movie we watched to we had to pull them apart

I walked Felix to his room

"I'm so happy I have a sister. And I get the best sister of them all" he speaks as if he has found the treasure everyone was looking for.

I smiled "well I'm glad her disability isnt stopping you guys from being great half siblings!" I said stretching out my tired bones

He nodded "by the way! How did she become mute? Was she born that way..?" I shook my head at the question

"A few months ago we met Luke at a sandwich shop and he shot at Charlie. The bullet grazed her neck deep enough to damage her vocal cords but luckily the paramedics got there before she bleed out in my arms" I stated with a sad expression

I looked over towards Felix and his head was down, looking at the floor. I put a hand on his shoulder as we arrived at his door.

"She doesnt let those things effect her, shes fine now. We're saving up the money to get her the surgery she needs. But it's going to be a while sadly" I said reassuring him. But I dont think it did much good

He nodded with a hum before walking into his room with a soft "good night" and shutting the door

I could still tell he was thinking about it but sadly I couldnt do more then what I already have..

I went back to my own bedroo. That I share with Tae and lay in bed after changing into a big shirt of his and no pants. His shirts are long enough to be night gowns anyway

I smile when i feel a pair of strong arms wrap around my waist and i turn in them to face a very sleepy Tae.

"I think we created a bond that cant be broken between those 2" I said with a smile as I wrapped my arms around his neck

He hummed "they have a natural bond. I have a feeling that even if they never met they'd still have thos silent but strong bond" he said slowly turning into mimes and i giggled "you're right" and with that we fell asleep awaiting the day to come!
