Chapter 11

we stayed with Adam for a little longer before they took me back to my room Charlie is supposed to come out of surgery in 2 hours, so i wait anxiously for the next 2 hours in my room with Felix and Tae. i was counting down the minutes and seconds as Felix and Tae try and distract me.

just then the door opened, i sat up quickly hoping its the doctor saying she's made it out safely. but instead it was something just as pleasant!

 nurse walked through the door with Adam in her arms wrapped in a blue blanket with animals on it. i smile at the sight "we were in the area and thought you might wanna say hi" the woman said with a big smile just from holding the child. i stared at the child in awe "can i hold him?" i asked and she nodded "of course!"

she gentle handed me the child, then stood there with a bright smile as she watch all of us interact with the precious child.

Tae scooted closer to my bed as i held the child, he put his hand on top of mine as we sat there and admired the little ball of Joy. just then our attention was snapped towards the door when we heard it opened.

and in came the rest of the boys, all 6 of them in one hospital room

"all 6 of you are here, whats the occasion?" i asked with a smile, glad to see them here "well our friends just had a baby, why wouldn't we get the group back together?" Hobi spoke up from the small crowd.

then they spotted the child in my arms "is this the child we heard so much about?" Yoongi asked and i nodded with a big smile "His name is Adam" i said while looking at the child as they all got closer to get a better look at him. "he's going to grow up to be quiet the look, like me!" Jin said causing all of us to laugh

that's when the nurse spoke up "well i better take him back before they realize the testing is taking a little to long" she said with a laugh, i laughed to with a nod as i gentle gave her our child back

once she left Jimin was the first to speak "who's this" he asked, pointing at Felix. "oh Felix this is Jimin, Hobi, Yoongi, Jin, Jungkook, and Namjoon" i said pointing to the person as their name came up

"its nice to meet you guys!" Felix said with a smile as he went around, shaking everyone's hands. "and boys, this is our son Felix" i finished it off. "SON!?!" Jin yelled "HOW COULD YOU NOT TELL ME YOU HAD SUCH A HANDSOME SON?!?" he shouted, Namjoon had to shush him before they got kicked out

i let out a laugh "well he's not technically our son, he's kind of adopted in a way. he the after math of one of Luke's past obsessions." i spoke and they let out a few "ohs"

"where's Charlie?" Namjoon asked wondering where his smart buddy went "oh she's getting surgery, the doctor called in a favor and we don't have to pay for it" i said and they all looked so happy

"yes she can finally start singing at my restaurant again!" Jin voiced his thoughts "so many customers miss her voice" he said and i was a bit shocked, i never knew about this job of hers. but it makes me proud knowing she's so mature at such a young age, they really did raise Charlie well

just then the doctor walked in with a smile on his face. then his eyes widened a bit in surprise at how many people were in the room. i laughed and made introductions for the second time tonight.

"well Charlie's out of surgery, give her about 30 minutes so she'll be fully awake then you can go see her" he said with a smile and i nodded with a smile as well.

we spent the next 30 minutes catching up after the doctor left, so much has happen the last 16 years that i haven't been able to talk to them about, it was crazy how much i missed when i was gone.

once the 30 minutes were over Felix and Tae came and lifted me into the wheel chair, then propped my feet on the little peddle things. which left some questioning faces, which i understand, I'd have questions to if i saw a friend having this kind of treatment.

Tae starts pushing my wheel chair till i started to speak as we walked down the hallways heading to see Charlie. "this might be some big news to take in at first... but I'm paralyzed.." i spoke, and I'm sure i heard a few feet squeak to a stop. Tae stops the wheel chair and i turn around to them all looking at me with sadness written all over their faces

"why didn't you tell us?" Jungkook asked softly. "i never got the chance, I'm sorry" i responded. 

after a couple minutes they regained themselves and we started walking again. "i wish the world would cut you some slack" i looked to the side of me to see Namjoon as he spoke "you always get the harshest blows, as if you want to take them so no one else does, but you need a break from all this stupid bad luck.." i was starting to tear up at his words 

"to be honest, everything to thing point has been tearing me apart.. and if this keeps up i don't know how much longer it'll take for me to break beyond repair" i said, voicing my doubts. 

just then we walked into Charlies room. "hi baby!" i said blinking away the tears as i open my arms wide and embrace the wide awake Charlie in front of me "how'd the surgery go?" i asked and she smiled

"I'd say it went well" she spoke! my baby spoke!! even thought her voice was a bit scratchy, at least she can speak! and that's when the tears fell once again. and this time i didn't dare to stop them
