**Hayes' POV**

"THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!" I screamed at Shawn punching him

"WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN!" He yelled back he said holding his nose

"YOU COMPLETELY IGNORED DANIE SO SHE LEFT!"

"Hayes, Hayes, Hayes, calm down" Danielle said grabbing my arm and pulling away from Shawn "why is this all Shawn's fault?" She asked

I took a deep breath "I talked to Danie this morning and she said Shawn didn't care about her and that he didn't want her here so I guess that was a clue she was planning on leaving"

Danielle ran up to Shawn and slapped him right across the face

"YOU'RE SUCH AN ASSHOLE! HER MOM JUST FUCKING DIED AND YOU IGNORED HER! You told me you weren't going to hurt! I made a big mistake trusting you with her" she spat

Shawn looked beyond hurt but to be honest, he deserved it

**Danielle's POV**

I hate Shawn! I'm never going to speak to him for as long as I live

"Um..." Hayes said

"What! You punched him but I can't slap him" I yelled "I'm sorry I didn't mean it I'm just really upset" I said starting to cry

He pulled me into his strong arms and hugged me tight until I pulled away

"I need to get back to the hotel" I said "our flight for Miami leaves tomorrow and I need to pack"

I felt arms wrap around my waist and I turn to see Jack. I jumped into his arms wrapping my legs his waist while I sobbed into his shoulder

"I-I can't b-believe she's g-gone" I cried

"Shhhhhh. It's ok. Everything will be fine" he whispered stroking my hair

"Don't say that Jack. I know it's not true so don't sugar coat it" I said

He set me down "it is true" he started "I know your strong enough to get through this"

"But after the break-in, the rape, and now this" I cried

The door opened and Hayes came in

"Rape?" He questioned

"I'm gunna let you two talk" Jack said leaving

"Danielle, please tell me that what I just heard wasn't true" he said

"I'd like to pretend it's not...but it is, it's completely true" I cried harder remembering the awful memory

"What happened" Hayes pushed "you don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but I want to help you" he finished with hurt in his eyes

"I have to tell you Hayes, if I don't we'll never have a strong relationship"

He nodded and I started my story

"Last year, a little after the break-in, my parents were going out and so was Jack so he asked one of his friends from school, Josh, if he would watch me. He arrived at my house and came up to my room where I was doing homework, he closed the door and locked it. I asked him what he was doing but he didn't reply. He came over to my bed and threw all my homework on the floor and grabbed my shirt and ripped it off. He grabbed my hands and zip-tied my hands to my bed posts" I paused taking a deep breath trying to stop crying "he took off my shorts and underwear leaving me exposed and then he stripped too he got on top of me and h-h-he raped me" I cried into Hayes chest as he rubbed my back

"I'm so sorry Danielle" Hayes said as a tear streamed down his cheek

I wiped it away and he smiled kissing me

We laid in bed and watched White Chicks and I slowly fell asleep in his arms

I'm so stupid! How could I be so oblivious to Danie's depression!
