Mask Off, Spot On

Chapter 10.2

You were meeting with Hinata, agreeing to help Kakashi figure out exactly what kind of wedding both her and Naruto wished for.
Hinata was in high spirits, as expected, which immediately caused you to smile as soon as you looked at her happy face.

You give her a tight, warm hug, and congratulate her for the occasion, for this was the first time you saw her since you'd heard of the news about the wedding.

"Hina-chan, it was about time! I'm so happy for you." You stated, as she blushed happily in response.

"Thank you [Y/N]-san. I'm so happy!" She replied, not finding any words able to describe her overflowing feelings.

"I'm sure you're in the fifth heaven right now. Please, just get married already."

"W-Why, now?"

"Yes. The faster, the better!" You replied with a soft chuckle. Hinata smiled softly at your figure, and you both began to stroll around town together.

"You've been looking so much happier and more serene since you and Kakashi-sensei got together." She stated, sighting in satisfaction, making you huff in response.

"What, wasn't I serene before? Did I look like some kind of drama show to you all? I've been getting that a lot, recently." You laughed.

"No, no! You just seemed to be feeling troubled frequently. But now it seems like you're finally here with us. I don't know... if it makes sense... I'm sorry." Hinata nearly squealed in embarrassment, but you didn't feel bothered at all, so you chuckled once again.

"I understand, don't worry. But either way, tell me about it, what it's like to be getting married, that is."

"Well... my chest feels warm and my stomach feels bubbly frequently. I just can't stop feeling happy." Hinata explained, taking her hands to her face, hiding her blushing cheeks.

"I see. Are you feeling eager for it to happen, perhaps?"

"It's not like I'm not excited, but I just feel like I want these days to last forever... even though I also can't wait for what comes next... having a family with Naruto-kun... living together with Naruto-kun..." Hinata stated dreamily, making you sight at her reaction, thinking how some things just never change.

"And everything Naruto-kun." You added, slightly snorting.
As you both walked down the streets, a certain whiskered blondie came to sight, making you breathe out in annoyance.
"Speaking of the devil..." You muttered, yet loud enough for Naruto to hear, making him give you a hurt expression.

"If anything, it's a fox." He replied.

"I thought you'd hate for me to call you 'fox boy', given the past." You retorted.

"Let the past be in the past." He huffed, before he went ahead and hughed Hinata with all his might, making her slightly squeal.

"Well, I guess there's no better time to be forward with it: what kind of wedding do you want to begin with?" You asked, feeling now too tired to proceed your evening with this lovey-dovey duo.
Naruto looked back at you rather expressionless for a while, before his eyes lit up once again, and he gave you one of his famous grins.

"Everyone in Konoha is my family, so I'd like it if everyone could go! Y'know?" He stated, as Hinata smiled in response with him. You could only but smile at the two idiots, not feeling capable enough to turn their offer down, and simply nodded with them in understanding.

'Kakashi's going to have a hard time, isn't he...?'

Kakashi looked back at you with the eyes of someone whose head was about to burst, as you repeated your words out to him:

"I think whatever you decide to do with their wedding will be the best thing you could've done. I believe they just honestly want to celebrate their union with everyone, with or without a grand party. So... truly, we'll leave it up to you." You smiled, lifting your hands up in defeat.

"We, will leave it up to you? You've given up on me already, too?" Kakashi sighted, letting his head fall on the Hokage's desk.
"Make it up to me." He pleaded.

"...I'll get married to you after?"

"That was decided already long ago."

"Then, I'll take you out for some ramen, my treat."

"I don't want to take the risk and look at Naruto's face now, for his own sake."

"Then... pizza?"

"As long as you're the pizza."

"No can do, you perv. Only after marriage."

"You're torturing me."

"I know."
