I woke up but Mar seems to be up already and downstairs it was Monday but there was a strike anyway tomorrow. I walk downstairs to see Mar and Mariceli at the island, Mar is standing on one side and Mariceli is sitting on the other.

Mariceli: hey Madison

Me: hey Mariceli

I say giving back the same happy energy, I see that Mar is looking through the fridge.

Me: so wadda you making

Mariceli: nothing he can't cook

Mar: yea I can

Mariceli: no he can't Samy does the cooking when he's over

Mar: that's because I don't want to

Mariceli: no, its because you can't

I just laugh

Mariceli: here I'll cook

Mar gives a groan

Mar: only cause I don't want to

They both smile at each other, it makes me kinda wish my brother was back

Mar: hey Santiago

He says quietly sitting next to me at the island

Me: hey Castano

Mariceli then makes a loud coughing sound I just laugh

Mar: were gonna go, have fun making your rat shit

She just giggles

Mar: bye Mari

Mariceli: see you

We left to go to my house so I could get my stuff. Mar sits on the edge of my bed on his phone as I get ready, I put on a white hoodie, some leggings then put my hair down.

Me: alright let's go

Mar: do we have too

Me: yea

I give him a silly smile, we get in the car then eventually to class.

Mattia: so you guys magically start to show up at the same time now

He kinda laughs

Me: never noticed

I say taking a seat

Samy: sooo you're birthdays coming

Me: yeah I'll finally be 17 what a dream of mine

Mattia: what are you gonna do

Me: I didn't want to do anything but I already know Vanessa's not gonna let that happen

I sit down at the lunch table and everyone is there. I'm just talking to Mar and everyone is having their own conversations.

Vanessa: soo Mads birthday is coming up and I'm going to plan the best party

I just roll my eyes

Me: Vanessssss I don't want a big party

Vanessa: that's what you think

Michelle: you're turning 17 it's gonna be fun

Me: okayy

Vanessa: good cause I've been planning for a week already

Samy: yo so my guy got us some free carnival tickets you guys in
