(hey quick authors note guys, I'm gonna write this story in and me, I format just to see if I like it better)
I woke up he next morning to Alyssa hopping up and down on her knees on my bed. I was annoyed, anyone who interrupts my beauty sleep is in for a really cranky Y/N. I glared at her, but she was too excited to care.
"What do you want?" I said, my tone being a bit colder than I meant it to.
"Geez, don't have such a stick in your butt. It's quidditch day! You overslept, which isn't like you at all on quidditch day. Come on get dressed, I wanna get good seats this time."
I looked at the time. 10:30, only 1 hour until the game. I stared up at the ceiling, I just really didn't want to go to this game. Something about it wasn't as exciting as usual for me. I should probably go to see how they play, but something is telling me not to go...
"Eh, I'm not gonna go. I have to much homework to do and I'm not really that excited-"
Alyssa cut me off. "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! NO MA'AM, NOT OUR TEAM CAPTAIN! Listen, even if you don't want to go, you should. Ravenclaw needs to win this cup."
I shrugged, not really listening to her. "Just take note for me, you like it just as much as I do. Well, usually. Besides, you're my co-captain anyway. Just this once, I promise." I crossed my fingers. I don't think I'll be going to anymore Gryffindor games unless it is against them.
"Fine, suit yourself. But you're gonna regret it."
"I always do." I smiled and winked at her before she threw on a cloak and left the dorm.
Maybe if I could just get a bit more sleep...
I was disturbed once again by Alyssa coming in, still upset about me not going.
"Are you seriously not going? Come on man, don't be so lame."
I let out a huge sigh, signalling that u was getting irritated. Alyssa huffed and left the room again, slamming the door a little.
I finally closed my eyes and drifted once again back to sleep.
I was awoken an hour later, climbing out of bed and making myself look semi-presentable. I just threw on some sweatpants, a plain black jumper, and some slippers.
I headed down to the completely empty common room and pulled out my homework, getting started with my Potions essay first.
I had been working for about 2 minutes before the silence bothered me. I grabbed my MP3 players and started listening to music, a common pass time and safe zone for me. I love music, everything about it. The words, the beat, the bass. It always gives me some sort of comfort.
With music, I was able to get all my homework done, even after the common room started filling with loud chatters, the usual. Just as I put away my Transfiguration homework, Alyssa plopped down next to me, a huge grin plastered on her face.
"Gryffindor won, now we go against them. So, Wood is good but he has some blindspots. All I think we need is a good distraction, maybe a fake out. Oh yeah, that would be good! Like you were talking about last week, how someone would pretend to have the quaffle but in reality someone else would have it?"
I nodded. I loved how she got excited over little things like that. She went on for a while before we all headed down to lunch, the first time I left the common room all day.
We talked about the quidditch plays for each team and a bit on how we could perfect our strategies to fit theirs, but not too much so no other team could hear us. Just as I was about to get up to leave, a paper airplane landed in front of me.
"Oh geez, another note from "ow". Seriously, how many will this person send?"
I shook my head, giggling once again at her pronunciation of O.W.
I read silently, as I still hadn't filled Alyssa in on the whole Wood situation.
L/N, I noticed you weren't at the game. I know you hate me right now, but it's us next. Gryffindor v. Slytherin, and now that you missed out on a game, I feel like we've got a leg up. Haha I'm just kidding, but seriously, I just want to talk things out. Please, at least look at me like I'm a human again. I know I messed up, but I honestly do feel bad and I really am sorry. I don't know what was wrong about the last note, maybe the best friend part, but we used to be close so I guess I just assumed. Anyway, I like your outfit, it fits you.
-O.W."Ok, another strange one." I said, raising an eyebrow and folding it up. I decided to keep this one, use these letters as blackmail just in case.
Alyssa looked at me with suspicious eyes. "Huh. Strange."
I rolled my eyes at her and we left, but not without the feeling of a stare following me all the way out.
Almost a week later, I had about 20 new notes from Oliver. They all asked for forgiveness, or to meet up with him to talk it out, and the latest one was a more angry one. He said that it was dumb that he had to basically beg for me to forgive him, and how I was being unreasonable. And maybe so, but I was holding my ground.
It was starting to bother me, though. Even though we aren't really super close anymore, we still used to talk occasionally. Mostly about quidditch, but his absence was still noticeable. And after his last note, he didn't send me anymore, so that was gone too.
Whatever, he didn't care about me anyway. I'll just tear him apart during quidditch...
