I scrambled to the lake, mentally preparing myself for what was about to happen, whatever it may be. Oliver was there laying down with his eyes closed. I plopped down next to him as he peered at me through squinted eyes.

I sat crisscrossed facing him, holding our eye contact as it was the most comforting thing in this moment.

"Y/N," he sat up with a sigh. "Feeling any better?"

"Much better." I began to pick at my lips out of nerves, avoiding eye contact at all costs.

Oliver pulled my hand away gently, laying a soft kiss and holding my hand with all the comfort in the world.

"Things are weird right now, huh?" He said, glancing at me for only a second before looking back at my hand, playing with my rings.

"I'm sorry, Oliver. With all of my heart, I really am."

He gave me a soft look with a warm smile. "I know. I know you didn't mean any harm. If I'm being completely honest, I don't regret what I did."

My eyes widened a bit, worried that maybe he did view me differently now.

Before I could let my thoughts get the best of me, he piped up again. "Because I think you've figured it out."

All I could do was admire him. The words were on my tongue, waiting for me to let them out. I still hesitated, though, even though I knew.

His demeanor seemed to be getting more disappointed with the passing seconds, but he stayed. And he continued to stay, right next to me, giving me all the time I need.

Finally, I cleared my throat. "Oliver-"

"I love you, Y/N."

His eyes met mine with a serious and worried look.

"I love you, too, Oliver."

He let a smile spread across his fast before leaning back with a playful smirk. "I don't know, do you?"

I sat up on my knees, pushing him playfully as he fell back.

"You ass, of course I do."

I hovered above him, his hands holding my waist with the softest touch.

"Of course," he whispered.

I leaned down to kiss him and he met me halfway, one of the most passionate we've shared. The moment was interrupted, however, when we heard clapping coming from the castle.

Oliver and I snapped our heads in that direction, met with Marcus Flint.

"What a beautiful moment," he sneered.

We adjusted ourselves and stood facing Flint, who had a nasty look on his face.

"What do you want?" Oliver's voice was full of anger.

"Oh, me? All I want is to never be a witness to whatever that was again. Also, to let Miss Y/N know that I actually will take her up on her offer. I hope this little moment didn't make you wanna retract you asking me to Hogsmeade?"

Oliver looked at me a little shocked, but shook his head when he noticed my also shocked expression.

"What the hell are you talking about, Flint" I could've killed him at any point in that moment.

"Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about now. Everyone in Slytherin heard it, too. See you then, love." He sent a wink before spinning on his heels and walking slowly towards the castle.

I immediately turned to Oliver, who stood there dumbfounded and upset watching Flint walk away.

"Oliver, I swear I would never-"

"I know, Y/N. I promise, I trust you. And also, nobody would ask Flint on a date anywhere, especially not you."

I giggled at his comment as he kissed me softly again. "The only thing we have to worry about now is whatever rumors he spreads now. But I'll be standing by you through it all, no matter what."

I nodded. "I'll be here too."

He held out his pinky, and I took it, making yet another pinky promise for our love.

When we made it back to the castle, we were met with stares and quiet whispering. It was obvious Flint had already told everyone. Now, our only task was to make sure people knew it wasn't true. Starting with our own friends.

(Hey guys... how's it going... been a while... I know it's been a long time please don't kill me!! I'll try to be more active. Also sorry this was so short, didn't wanna overflow this chapter. Thank you for reading and sorry for being so inactive!!!)
