001 - ʜᴀᴛᴇ ᴍᴇ ᴍᴏʀᴇ

kai and mattia have been best friends since the dawn of time. until something pretty shitty happened between them.

"MATTIA! how many time to i have to fucking tell you! i don't care!" kai screamed. mattia had been talking about all the flings he had in the past year.

mattia knew it pissed kairi off when he talked about it but kairi usually laughed and made jokes about it. this reaction made mattia mad. "when did we get so sensitive, huh?" mattia said with more aggression than he planned.

"it's literally all you talk about!" kairi yelled as he stood from his bed. pacing back and forth in this bedroom. "i fucked her there and i fucked her then, I DON'T GIVE A FUCK." kairi dragged out the end of his sentence, laughing a bit, with less happiness and more irritation "we never have normal conversations anymore, man."

there was a somewhat comfortable silence between the two as kai stood thinking deeply. "i miss the old you." he said.

that was what set mattia off. "why the hell is everyone telling me that!?" he hopped off kairi's bed. "whenever i post on tiktok, wherever, whenever, it doesn't matter what i'm doing people always miss the old fucking me! I DON'T WANNA BE THE OLD ME!" he screamed.

kairi watched him as he yelled. he had been so fed up. so annoyed. he wanted to kiss him. he always has. but of course mattia could never know that because if he did, he wouldn't want to associate with him. kairi was gay and he hadn't told any of his friends yet because he was scared. he didn't know what to do.

he kept watching as mattia's mouth moved but nothing came out. everything was completely silent except for the distant yelling from mattia.

then, kairi realized, he was done.

"get out, mattia." he said in the deathly serious voice. kairi's face was emotionless and his voice was monotone. mattia was taken back by his voice and expression. the room was quiet and there was no movement for about three seconds before kairi spoken again.

"get the fuck out of my room, out of my house, out of my life. i don't want you here because they're right mattia. you have changed. for the so much fucking worse."

mattia blinked. "fuck you, too." he grabbed his phone and backpack from kairi's bed and opened kairi's door. kai stood where he was not moving a muscle.

mattia waited in the door for a second waiting for kairi to say something, anything. but he didn't. so, he slammed the door behind him as he left.

kairi ran up to the door and pushed his ear against it. "bye, maiya." mattia said to kairi's little sister as he walked out the house

"later!" she called out happily, oblivious to what had just happened in her older brothers bedroom. mattia closed the front door.

just like that kairi had sent his best friend in the entire world away. what the fuck was he gonna do, now?
