015 - sᴇᴘᴀʀᴀᴛᴇᴅ ʙʏ ɴɪɢʜᴛᴍᴀʀᴇs

a/n: if u didn't notice we got a new theme 😈 ^^

kairi paced outside of mattia's room. mattia's mother, gianluca and his father were propped up against a wall. taylor was texting someone at rapid speeds and everything else was dead silent. the sound of kairi's shoes hitting floor and the tapping of taylor's fingers against her phone echoed.

the silence was so loud that kairi could barely take it anymore. he stopped moving. kairi put his thumb to his bottom lip and dragged it along.

KAIRI

i miss his lips so much. it's not like we haven't kissed before but this one, it meant something.

you taste good.

his voice rung though my head. it was different than i remembered. it was more deep and raspy now. he had grown so much and i wasn't there to grow with him. how could he ever forgive me?

he shouldn't.

i turned to the door of the room mattia was in.

MATTIA

"mattia? mattia!" i heard a pitch voice yell. i blinked my eyes a couple times before color started to fade in. i was in a forest.

i looked ahead to see a small dock. a little boy was running toward the end of it. that's when i realized.

the little boy was kairi.

i ran up the dock and stood right behind him. remember this day. i saw a younger me, pretending to drown.

"mattia! i'm gonna help you, okay! grab my hand, bubby!" the small kairi called out. i smiled at his use of the word bubby. it made me happy. i haven't been happy in a long time. kairi reached his hand out and grabbed mine.

younger me pulled him into the water. they were both under water for a couple seconds before younger me came up. then, younger kairi came up with an upset look on his water covered face.

younger me started laughing while kairi on the other hand, didn't. kairi got out of the water and walked up the deck. he stood in the middle of the deck and turned toward the forest. he crossed his arms on his chest. i smirked. i missed this. the innocence of our younger selves. i wish we still hand it.

"oh come on!" i said. "you can't take a joke now? kairi?" i walked behind myself and whispered:

"no, he can't." the younger me looked around before saying sorry to kairi. i smiled.

what actually happened was very different. i did prank kairi. he got mad, i said what i said but never apologized. he was mad at me for a whole fucking week. i brought him ice cream and he wasn't mad at me after that. that had been the longest we could ever get mad at each other after that.

we were only eight. two happy eight year old boys who had no idea what life had in store for them.

3RD PERSON

before mattia could think another thought, the floor under him broke like glass. everything happened so quickly right before his eyes. he paused for a second before embracing it; he let his body go. he let everything go; he just closed his eyes.
when he opened them again.

he was somewhere different.

MATTIA

monitors beeped all around me. i moved my arm slightly and felt the iv that was attached to it. a hospital? i'm alive?

my mom

my dad

gianluca

kairi

where are they?

"so, your finally awake." my head shot up and i saw a man standing at the end of my bed. "woah, there son. calm down. you're alright. your family and friends are waiting outside. you going to be discharged as soon as possible." the guy walked up to the side of my bed. "i'm glad you decided to fight."

i nodded my head and laid back down. i smiled slightly as i watched the ceiling.

i survived.

i fought.

3RD PERSON

the doctor opened the door and looked around at everyone. he nodded and let them all in. mattia's mother ran up to his bed and gave him the tightest hug she possibly could. mattia chuckled. his dad came up to the bed and pressed a small peck on mattia's forehead. gianluca walked up and hugged mattia the best he could. mattia had a huge smile on his face.

kairi sighed. it was a happy sigh. he was glad mattia was back. he was glad mattia was smiling because his family loved him. that made kairi smiled.

taylor looked back at kairi, they all did. mattia brought his hand up and used two fingers to signal for him to come to him. kairi shook his head. he wasn't scared of what mattia would do, he was scared of what he wouldn't do.

kairi slowed walked over to mattia and stood with his hands clasped behind his back.

"hug me or i'll bite your dick off." mattia blurted out. both him and kairi broke down into laughter before kairi fell into mattia's arms.

"god, i missed you." kairi said as he pulled away from mattia, instantly missing the warmth of the embrace. mattia smile became even bigger.

"i didn't know you could do that, wow." mattia said. kairi frown and glared at him. mattia chuckled and so did kairi. they both missed it. they missed each other.

the laughter.

the tears.

the pain.

it was all over.

right?
