Castiel X Prophet! Reader
This one shot will be altered from the series. Sam and Dean do not steal the tablet from the leviathans. Instead, demons discover it.
Last thing I remember was lightning, or some kind of bright light. When I woke up, my bedroom was a disaster, yet, I was unharmed. I can't explain why, but I have to go after something. I had to get the God tablet.
This tablet is the word of God and I have to get it. I don't know why. I can't explain why. I got dressed, grabbed my keys, and left my apartment. I got in my (preferred vehicle) and drove off. The drive was long and boring. Had it not been for the music from my radio, I don't know what I'd do.
I parked outside an abandoned warehouse. Of course an abandoned warehouse! How original! I thought sarcastically. In and out, real quick. Not like there could be drug dealers and rapists hanging out there! I didn't know that it would be so much worse than that.
When I got there, there were a few people. They looked up from the table they were looking at. Their eyes flashed black. I froze. What the hell? "You lost, little one?" One of the men says. They slowly start to approach me. I turn to run, but one grabs me.
"LET ME GO!!!" I scream. The people just laugh. I suddenly hear an extremely high pitched noise, followed by a blinding light. I shut my eyes and plug my ears. The room starts shaking and the man who grabbed me had released me now.
The room finally stopped shaking. The noises stopped and the blinding light dimmed away. I cautiously look around. All the men were now laying on the floor with their eyes burned out! I stood there shaking. I wanted to barf!
My eyes finally land on the table. There I saw a tablet. That's what I've come for. I very carefully stepped over all the dead bodies and picked up the tablet. As soon as I tried to read it, my vision felt like it was shaking and my head started hurting.
I hissed in pain and put the tablet down. "What the hell?" I muttered. "That's the word of God, Prophet ." A voice says from behind. I gasped and turned around to see more people. They were lined up side by side with a man in a trench coat in the center.
"Wh-Who are you? H-How come y-your eyes aren't burned out?" I asked, stepping behind the table, as if that would protect me. A tall african man that stood beside the one in a trench coat chuckled.
"Those you see dead before you were demons. We smote them in order to protect you." Said the one in the trench coat. "DEMONS?!" I yelped. "Is that why their eyes were black? And do you mean smote? Just who are you?" I asked.
The man in the trench coat approached me. He stood on the opposite side of the small table from me. "We're angels of the lord. My name is Castiel. These are my brothers and sisters. We are warriors of heaven.
We smite evil." He explained. I shook my head. "No, impossible! You're crazy!" I said. "Mind your tone with us!" The first guy said sternly. I bite my lip. "That's enough, Uriel." Said Castiel, making Uriel go silent. He turned to the people behind him.
"Clean up this mess, I'll bring the prophet out of here." He tells them. Without question, the others did as he said. I'm assuming he was their leader or whatever. "Prophet? Why did you call me that? And I'm not going anywhere with you." I protested.
Castiel was then beside me, making me jump. "That's out of the question." He says. Before I could protest again, he touches my forehead and we are suddenly in a different room. I felt slightly dizzy.
"Wh-Where are we? What did you do?" I asked, holding my forehead. "I'm sorry for being so blunt. But now that you're here, I'll explain everything. You, (y/n) (l/n) are a prophet of the lord. You have the gift of prophecy.
Only one prophet can live at a time. The one before you has passed, making you awaken as the new prophet. You are also the only one who can read this." Castiel explained, holding the tablet.
"I-If you're an angel, why don't you just read it? What do you need me to read it for? I got a bad headache just trying." I asked. This whole situation is way too confusing. "The tablet was not meant for angels to read.
God made it so that only a prophet can read it. It's difficult, yes, but you are able to read it." He says, handing me the tablet. I take it and look at it. Again, my vision starts shaking and my head starts hurting.
I was only able to read a few small details before I had to put it down. "I-I'm sorry." I groaned. I felt Castirl place his hand on my shoulder. "It's alright. What did you see?" He asked. I looked at him. "I saw... instructions." I said.
I look at the tablet again, the more I read it, the less it hurt it seemed. "Whoa..." I breathed and looked at Castiel. "These instructions... it's a spell. To seal the gates of hell forever." I said. Castiel furrowed his brow. "Please, continue reading. For there is much work to be done. Just know this. We will keep you safe."
"I will keep you safe."
Sooo, I know it's been four years since I've updated this. I started rewatching SPN again, and decided to read through this book. I came across this draft that was pretty much done, aside from the last paragraph. I thought, fuck it, and updated this. Is anyone still reading? lol
