I've only known Cas for a short amount of time. I met him in the barn where Dean and Bobby summoned him. The first thing I noticed about him were his wings. They'er huge. Soft looking black feathers. Yet, Dean and Bobby couldn't see them. I wonder why.
I just figured I was one of those "special people" that could hear and see angels in their true form. Who knows. For the past few weeks I've been dreaming about the day we met.
Dream
The doors of the barn open as wind blew aggressively and lights started blowing out. I had my shot gun ready. I was ready to shoot whatever came through that door. Well, I was more ready for a demon or something.
I was NOT ready to see a man in a trenchcoat with massive black feathered wings! "What the hell?" I mouthed. As soon as he walked passed the devils trap, Dean and Bobby began shooting him, but their bullets did nothing. He didn't even flinch!
I was too paralyzed with shock to even do anything. I couldn't take my eyes off his wings. Dean and Bobby stop shooting and look at each other in horror. Dean puts his gun down and picks up the demon blade.
The winged man was now standing in front of Dean. "(Y/n). Hey, (Y/n), snap out of it!" Bobby said, nudging me. I look at him. "You don't see them?" I asked. "Them?" He asked. I discreetly point at the the wings.
Bobby looked. "Oh hell." He said. He saw them? No. Dean had stabbed the guy, but it didn't seem to phase him. He just pulled out the demon blade from his chest and drops it. That's when Bobby swung his iron pipe at him, but he caught it mid air.
My eyes widen when Bobby passed out after he touched his forehead. I took out my machete. He didn't seem to notice me yet. I snuck up behind him and went to swing down at his wings, but he quickly turned around and grabbed my wrist. I gasp and look at him.
His blue eyes were glaring into my (e/c) ones. "Just what were you aiming for just now?" He asks, his voice deep and gravelly sounding. "Let her go!" Dean shouts, but the man ignores him. "My wings, right? You can see them?"
I nod at his question. He seemed puzzled by this. He reached for my forehead to render me unconscious. My heart raced and I tried yanking my wrist away, but he had an iron grip. As soon as his fingers made contact with my forehead, I began to pass out.
End Dream
I woke up slightly covered in sweat. I've been having that same dream since that day. I don't know why. Was it some kind of reminder? "Hello, (Y/n)." I gasp and jump slightly at the voice. I turn and see Castiel sitting on the side of my bed.
"Were you... watching me sleep?" I asked, looking at him. "I was watching over you." He replied. His wings were tucked in behind his back. "I do every night, since the day we met." He adds. I look at him, a bit on edge.
"Wh-why?" I asked. This wasn't creepy at all. Note the sarcasm. "I owe you an explanation as to why you can see my wings." He says, ignoring my question. "Yeah, why is that?" I asked. He sighs. "No human is meant to see my wings. My true form can be overwhelming for most humans."
He pauses and averts his eyes for a moment before looking back at me. "When a human can see an angel's wings, it's because that human is destined to be that angel's soulmate." He finished.
I couldn't help but blush. Soulmates? I thought that was just some fangirl crap you read in fan fictions. "I know that relationships between a human and an angel are forbidden, but when they are destined soulmates is the only time it is acceptable." Cas says.
"So what? I'm suppose to be your girlfriend now? What happens when I grow old and die?" I asked. He smiled softly. "Essentially, we are already engaged. I will continue to watch over you and protect until the day you die.
You will automatically gain entrance to heaven. That's when we will truly be wed." He explains, placing his hand on top of mine. I look down at our hands as he intertwined our fingers.
"I will always protect you, even when you can not see me. I will always watch over you, even when I am not present. I will always love you, (Y/n)." While saying this, he began to move in closer to me. My heart started racing and I had butterflies in my stomach.
"Cas." I breathed. His free hand gently cups my cheek. "I pomise." He says. He leans in the rest if the way and kisses me. I immediately kiss back and carefully wrap my arms around his neck. His hands were holding my waist. He was being so gentle with me.
I felt his wings wrap around me. They were really soft and comforting. When I pulled away for air, I noticed that we were no longer in the motel room. We were in a very large and beautiful garden. I looked around and smiled.
"Cas, this is so beautiful." I said in awe. "As beautiful as it is, it does not compare to your beauty. Not even close." He says, making me blush like crazy. He smirks at this and kisses my cheek. "I love you, (Y/n)." He whispers, holding me close. "I love you too, Cas."
