My father took me to the attic of the school. All the old stuff of the school is in there. He brought me in and made me sit down. I sat obediently and listened to my father as he started to speak.
"Sabriel, my son. You need to listen to me. I need you to know that I accept your relationship. She is a wonderful and bright girl. I only want to know why she is so close to you when she uelsed to ignore you before." He said.
"She was afraid to admit that she loves me. She didn't want to give us boys a bad name and hear people say that we share girls and that we have no respect for woman. She also did not want to give mother a hard time. Mother went balistic when she found out about her and Balthozar and she hurt Ezparenza." I explained.
"She is a lovely girl. Sabriel, I also have to explain this ritual to you." He said.
"Yes." I said.
"You will not see her, talk to her, touch her or be anywhere near her. This will increase your already unbreakable bond and make your scent stronger. She will try to get to you and you will try to get to her. That will not happen. She is doing training and you will be doing Spanish lessons." Father said.
"But I don't need them anymore. My Spanish has improved." I argued.
"Really. Prove it." Father said.
"Ask the Spanish teacher. We did the test yesterday and I got full marks." I said.
Father paused and looked up.
"Your right. I guess that means that I will have to give you a lesson on heat." Father said, looking at my neck.
"What are you looking a-sheesh!" I flinched.
The mark on my neck started burning. "Father, did you do that?" I asked. "No. Hold on Sabriel." Father said.
He walked to the window and looked out. I followed him. My fathers eyes were open wide and he looked like he was in complete shock. I looked out the window and I saw Ezparenza. I smiled until I realised what was happening.
