Hyunjin along with other idols and actors his age were going to be on a show where they would be partnering up with SOPA students, who have been scouted by agencies, a chance to make friends.
"Do you think there will be a lot of people?" Felix asked as Stray Kids were all in the van to drop off Hyujin at the high school.
When Hyunjin received the news that he was going to be a tv show, all of the members made it a requirement for them to see him off. For all they know, the person that Hyunjin is paired with could be a new friend for everyone.
"To be honest, I'm more excited to see Chanyoung and Yongseung more than the students...is that bad?" Hyunjin asked, completely forgetting that the camera crew had already set up cameras in the van to start off the first episode.
The group was filled with laughter when Hyunjin looked at the camera in shock and immediately apologized, hoping they would edit that part out of the show. When they arrived at SOPA, Hyunjin couldn't help but talk about the fun times that he had with other idols that were in his class.
"Hyung, don't forget to text us every night before you go to sleep." Jeongin insisted as they waved goodbye to Hyunjin and left so that they wouldn't get caught by any fans.
Hyunjin chuckled and waved at the van before seeing his friends. They had arrived a little before he did so they were already hooked to a microphone and told that they would be meeting the high schoolers shortly.
"Wow~is that the one and only Hyunjin?" Chanyoung asked as he and Yongseung greeted the rapper with warm smiles.
"Hey, how have you been?" Hyunjin chuckled as he thanked the crew for helping him get set up with the microphone.
The three idols continued to talk about their group and even the memories that they shared. A lot were the fun moments whenever they were able to experience a full day of school without being told to leave early because of their schedule. Even though they already graduated, being back on campus made each of them feel as if they were students once again.
As the last batch of the idols and actors arrived, the host began to make his way around to everyone and greeted them. It was important for them to know who was the host so they knew who to talk to if things were to get out of hand.
"Hello everyone, I'm your host Siyoung and welcome to Operation Make Friends. This show will have you paired with students from SOPA who have been scouted by agencies already. Back when you were all trainees or even already debuted, it was quite difficult to make friends because of the busy schedules. This show is here to help both you and the chosen students to make friends and even learn more about their upcoming lives. Each student was paired with the person who is in the same company as them. With that being said, let's bring out the students!"
Seven students walked out of the building and were all attractive. Before they could go over to their paired idol and actor, they had to introduce themselves. Hyunjin and his friends gave the students a boy as they could tell that they were nervous.
Each did their introduction and had help from Siyoung whenever he felt like they were becoming a little too nervous. Siyoung would occasionally tap in and give the idols and actors more facts about the students so that they could feel more confident in themselves too.
"Um hello, my name is Kim M/n and I'm 18 years old." M/n said as he gave everyone a bow before hiding behind one of his friends who were also scouted. The second-hand embarrassment that M/n's friend felt made him laugh before telling him to say more.
"M/n is also mixed! He's half Korean and half [ethnicity], which explains why he's so handsome." Siyoung added as everyone began to blurt out how cool it was.
The actresses were nodding in agreement with Siyoung as they would joke and ask if M/n was paired with any one of the. Hyunjin simply stared at M/n and observed him, the way that M/n carried himself reminded him a lot of his members.
"Now that the introductions are over, let's have the students walk over to their paired idol or actor/actress." Siyoung instructed as M/n walked to Hyunjin and gave him another awkward bow.
The number of times that M/n had bowed already was going to make headlines once the first episode airs. He couldn't help but bow when knowing that an idol is standing next to him. Hyunjin chuckled when he saw M/n try to figure out what to say to him and decided that it would be best if he started their conversation.
"You don't have to be so nervous, I don't bite." Hyunjin joked as M/n nodded his head and mumbled a 'sorry'.
The first part of the show was Siyoung explaining how the show was going to be run and where everyone would be staying. Hyunjin would hardly pay attention and would try to start a conversation with M/n so he could get to know him better. The idol was more than happy to be paired with M/n since he thought they would get along just fine.
"With that being said, enjoy your first day!" Siyoung left the participants as they stood in the same spot for a couple of seconds before grabbing there things to bring to the dorm.
M/n offered to help the idol with his luggage but he knew better than anyone else that his two large suitcases would need more help than what Hyunjin brought.
"I brought too many clothes." M/n sighed as he looked at his two suitcases then back at Hyunjin who began to walk, thinking M/n was right behind him.
The high school student stared at his suitcases then back at Hyunjin, wondering how he could bring both up the staircase of doom that waited for him. A hum escaped his lips as he looked at Hyunjin once more and decided to at least try.
"Hyung, I'll pay for your lunch if you can just bring that suitcase with you." M/n said as he gave the cameraman puppy eyes. He was assigned to follow M/n and Hyunjin to the dorm, so why not help bring the suitcases up.
The cameraman nodded his head and brought the other suitcase up to the dorm where Hyunjin rushed to M/n to help bring the suitcases up the staircase.
"You don't have to be so shy around me, even though it's cute." Hyunjin said as he helped M/n bring the suitcase in the dorm.
Even though it was only the first episode of the show, M/n knew exactly what was waiting for him. Getting to know Hyunjin better would lead to a new adventure that he can't wait to explore.
