M/n and Jeongin have been dating for nearly a year, it has already been a roller coaster for the two. They decided to announce their relationship when they celebrated their 6th month together since they knew that they wanted to stay together for a long time. With the advice that their hyungs and even managers gave them, the two boys knew what they asked for when doing so.
M/n is part of a band called SMILE under JYP and was already growing big. With the members having personalities to catch people's attention, it didn't take long for SMILE to grow a solid fanbase. Before M/n was dating Jeongin, the idol was actually a fan of the band where it was a goal for Jeongin to become friends with M/n, the main singer.
With the two boys being the same age, they found it easy to get along and hang around each other. Whenever they had the same day off, M/n was always found with Jeongin walking around the streets of Seoul enjoying their time together. As time went by, feelings developed on both sides. Fast forward to 2020, M/n and Jeongin were happily dating.
When JYP announced the relationship between M/n and Jeongin, fans were of course in shock, but some even went to the extent of leaving the fanbase. Obviously, it wasn't something that they expected but that just made the fans want to protect their idols even more.
"Alright boys, with the success of working so hard, I was able to convince the director to give you guys some time off." The manager of Stray Kids spoke. They were on their way back to the company after a long schedule that started at 6 am.
"I can finally sleep in!" Felix cheered as he shook Jisung's shoulders in pure joy. Jeongin laughed at his hyungs before reaching for his phone to text his boyfriend.
Recently, SMILE had a fanmeet and a lot of Jeongin stans attended to beg M/n to break up with Jeongin. Of course, after their little breakdown, they would apologize to the singer and explain that they support him since he makes the maknae happy. When M/n told Jeongin what happened, it broke his heart to know that his fans would beg him to end the relationship but they would never ask Jeongin himself.
"Did you tell your hubby yet?" Hyunjin teased, wrapping his arm loosely around the younger's shoulders. Jeongin playfully rolled his eyes as he began to message M/n.
Their conversation lasted for almost an hour before M/n had to leave to prepare for their concert tonight. Throughout the messages, Jeongin could immediately tell that something was still upsetting M/n. Even though it was through text, the responses that were sent were nothing like how his boyfriend would usually send.
"Can we go see SMILE live tonight?"

"M/n~ stop texting your boyfriend and help me do soundcheck." Yeon chuckled as he gave his singer a back hug. Yeon was the leader of the group and the bass player, the members of the band chose Yeon to be the leader since he would always make sure that everyone was comfortable with the themes of the songs and always checked in on his members.
"I'm not texting him, I'm reading some of the messages from fans." M/n responded as he showed Yeon his phone of endless messages from the fans that would respond to his stories on Instagram.
A hum escaped Yeon's lips as he unwrapped his arms around the smaller and gave M/n the look. Whenever Yeon gave M/n the look, he always tells him what's been bothering him. As much as he hated it, the messages that M/n received were starting to get to him. The fans never blamed him for being in a relationship with Jeongin, instead, they expressed their sadness and were unsure if they could accept him and his boyfriend as normal.
"I-I don't think I can continue this." M/n breathed with nothing but tears beginning to block his vision.
Immediately, Yeon took M/n into a deep hug. The waiting room was filled with the singer's sobs as he tried to calm himself down to explain, but the heartbreak was too much for him.
"As much as I would love to tell you that things may seem rough right now, but you can get through this. You should only focus on you and Jeongin, have trust in your relationship. If you think that ending things is the best way to do it, then I'll be right beside you." Yeon softly spoke as he began to soothe M/n, rubbing circles on his back to try and calm him down.
"I just want him to be happy and accepted as a normal person..." M/n sighed, looking up at his leader with glossy [e/c] eyes.
The sight of M/n breaking down only minutes before their concert was something that Yeon didn't want to happen. The only thing he could do for his singer is to support him no matter what. After a couple of more minutes of M/n gathering himself, it was time for the show. Jeongin was able to sneak in and get a good seat to admire his boyfriend. When he got himself situated, Jeongin sent a picture of him and the maknae line sitting together to M/n as a good luck picture.
M/n smiled at the message and slid his phone into his back pocket. It was time to put on a show and finally give a performance to Jeongin. The last time that he was able to perform with his boyfriend in the crowd was when SMILE had debuted.
SMILE performed their latest hit songs as well as songs that they made just for the concert. The atmosphere was light and filled with fans cheering on the band as they played their hearts out.
With the concert coming to an end, the band began to bring out different instruments for them to play as they handed M/n a guitar. It was finally time for the last song to end it all.
"Hello my Daisies, today a special person is in the crowd. And before I say anything, I would just like to apologize to not only the person but to his fans. You've suffered a lot, haven't you? I'm sorry that you suffered so much, I never intended to hurt someone while being happy. I was selfish of my own actions...and so this last song goes out to him."
Once the song was over, the crowd went silent when they saw M/n lowering his head so they wouldn't see the tears streaming down his [s/c] face.
"M/n, we're not breaking up! I'm the one that's selfish!" Jeongin yelled, not caring that fans were staring at him surprised by his actions. The only thing that mattered to him was M/n and his happiness. "I love you, idiot!"
The light cheers from the fans that were also crying grew quiet when M/n slowly lifted his head. The sight broke Jeongin's heart when the big screen did a close up on M/n as he spoke into the microphone.
