Chapter 35

Alyssa's POV

I could feel myself tearing up as I saw Niall and Carter in the embrace. It was so beautiful that Carter was so open, and so willing to let Niall into his life that fast, I know if that was me I probably wouldn't but I had to keep in mind that he's three.

"How about Daddy takes you to go get some ice cream?" Niall gave Carter a smile and Carter nodded his head furiously.

"Can Mommy come?" He gave me a wink that probably wouldn't even be considered a wink, but Niall couldn't wink to save his life either.

"Only if Mommy wants to." Niall came over and kissed my cheek and Carter did the same thing, until both of them were attacking my cheeks with kisses.

"Mommy doesn't want that." I pushed them off and Carter and Niall were laughing and Carter gave Niall a high five. "Let's go goofballs." I slid on my shoes and pulled them out of the door. Niall was driving while I was in the passenger seat and Carter sat in the back, in his car seat.

"Off to Milkshake City!" Niall yelled being more loud than usual. Carter followed by hollering and throwing his hands up in the air. We arrived minutes later, and the place was crowded with teenage girls.

"Why is there so many girls here?" I gave him a slight side glance, and he looked guilitly at me.

"I may or may not have tweeted that I was coming here." He shrugged and I slapped him upside the head.

"You're smarter than that! Oh well. Let's go in, I'll get Carter." I pulled him out of his car seat, and Niall and I walked hand in hand inside, with Carter on my side. The girls went crazy of course, they threw questions at us like flies, and Niall simply ignored them until we got inside.

"I'm sorry." He whispered faintly in my ear, making me shiver. There were flashes going off all around us, and I felt uncomfortable. "Want to go back to the car? I'll get things for you and Carter?" I nodded firmly and took the car keys from Niall.

Carter wanted to walk, so I held his hand firmly as the girl threw questions and insults at my face. I covered Carter's ears and continued walking.

"You can try and cover his ears now but he's going to know what a slut his mom is someday anyways." A girl about 17 smirked at me standing right in front of the door of the car.

"Please move." I asked the girl nicely, and she simply smirked back at me. Carter was tugging on my arm to get into car, and the girl was not moving. "Can you please move? I'm trying to put my son in the car."

"No." The smirk on her face turned into a dirty smile and I wanted to backhand her.

"Fine." I turned around and walked through the crowd once again back to Niall. He was standing at the front of the building, taking pictures with people while holding our milkshakes.

"Sorry girls, maybe another time, I have to go." He gave a small smile before heading back to Carter and I.

"There's a girl in front of our car and she won't move." I whispered quiet enough for him to hear, and Carter looked a little freaked out by all of the attention. He nodded back to me and the girl still stood there smirking at me.

"Look do you want a picture or an autograph? We really need to go." He smiled at her and the girl batted her eyelashes at him before speaking.

"Sure." She giggled and stuck her arm around Niall's waist, making sure to make eye contact with me. I wasn't a jealous person, but I sure didn't like that she was feeling up Niall. Her friend took the picture and she slipped something in Niall's back pocket before winking and walking out. I put Carter in the car before shutting the door and standing with Niall, opening the note and reading it.
