Chapter 19

Niall led me onto a dirt path that led to a forest looking place.

"Where are we going Niall?" I asked curiously, taking in the surrounding forest.

"It's a surprise. You can wait, we're almost here." Niall replied back, a smirk playing on his lips.

"Please?" I asked hopefully.

"Nope." Niall popped the p. I stayed silent the rest of the walk. Niall seemed to know exactly where he was going and a solid 10 minutes later he led me to a basically dried up river. "Take off your shoes. You don't want to ruin them." I quickly took off my shoes and we walked out to a sandbar. Niall was leading me to a spot under the bridge where I could see a blanket with a picnic basket.

"See it?" Niall's voice scared me, causing me to jump and him to laugh.

"Yes! Now stop laughing that wasn't funny!" I whined pulling his arm. He continued chuckling and led me to the secluded spot under a bridge.

"Welcome to paradise babe." He kissed me softly pulling me in his lap. His touch made me yearn for more, it always left a burning trail where his fingers had once been.

"It's so perfect. The sunset, everything. Maybe no more douchelord title for you." I joked smiling at him.

"But still a lord right?"

"Sure babe." I kissed him again, this time letting it get a little more intense.

"Don't get me wrong, I could kiss you all damn day if I could, but let's eat the food." Niall pulled away a mere five minutes later. Niall had packed a cute little picnic dinner for us. He cut sandwiches, brought chips, cookies, and strawberries and nutella, our favorite.

"This looks so good Niall." I picked up a Dorito, and shoved it into my mouth.

"I try." Niall shrugged his shoulders. We quickly devoured everything, feeding the strawberries to each other, being disgustingly cheesy about it too. As the sun was setting, Niall lit candles and I simply sat in his lap, firmly holding his hand.

"You know how much I love you?" I turned and whispered in his ear, making him shiver.

"Not more than I love you." He whispered back into my neck.

"Oh really?"

"Really."

"You wanna bet?"

"Actually, I do."

"Hm. How is this supposed to work?" Niall crinkled his eyebrows in confusion.

"How should I know?" I laughed back, getting lost in his eyes. We both slowly leaned forward, our lips meeting softly. I intertwined my fingers in his hair, as Niall's hands ran up and down my back. His touch left a burning trail after it, causing me to melt into him even more. I bit his lip and pulled it back, causing a throaty moan to escape his mouth. I smiled mischievously in response, closing any open space between us. We both became breathless, pulling away, goofy grins plastered on both of our faces.

"Want to go back?" Niall asked me, grabbing my hand again.

"Yeah." I smiled back at our hands, my ring gleaming. I blew out all of the candles and helped Niall put everything away. We walked back admiring the forming rain clouds in the sky, returning home a solid ten minutes later.

We were currently sitting outside, Niall pouting crossing his arms because he couldn't get the fire made and he refused to let me try to start it.

"Let's do something, I don't fancy sitting here all night watching you pout about the fire." I sounded.

"I'm not pouting!" Niall whined.

"Whatever floats your boat Niall." I smirked back.

"What do you want to do? There isn't a huge variety out here Lyss." He put his arm around me, pulling me into him.

"Well..." I drifted off. "We could go skinny dipping." A smirk found its way onto my face.

"Are you serious or?" Niall tried to supress a smile, but it didn't work very well.

"Why not? YOLO." I shrugged my shoulders. Niall got up and grabbed my hand.

"Off to the beach then." Niall winked at me, causing a small blush to creep up on my cheeks. The night was chilly and the locusts were filling the silent air.

"This is so crazy and reckless." I practically yelled jumping on Niall's back.

"You're heavier than you look you know." Niall grunted approaching the beach.

"Lords are supposed to be gentlemans." I smirked.

"Well maybe I'm not like the other lords. I'm better." I could hear the smile in his voice. He set me down on the beach and I started taking off my clothes, leaving me in my bra and underwear.

"Niall!" I yelled as he picked me up by the stomach and spun me around. Laughter shook through my body as I managed to pull Niall into the water along with me. We started having a splash war, I pulled some pretty sneaky attacks on him too. I snuck up behind him, and splashed him right in the face. He then snuck up on me covered my eyes, turned me around and uncovered my eyes. Our foreheads were leaning against each other and I swear at that moment, everything was perfect. Our lips met gently at first, barely touching, but just enough to make my stomach explode with fireworks. The kiss slowly progressed as we closed the remaining space in-between us. We backed out of the water and managed to get to our cabin, not breaking the kiss. I knew where this was going, at to be honest, I wanted to do it. We slowly backed into the bed, Niall breaking the kiss, staring into my eyes. I nodded, understanding what he was asking and our lips crashed together once again.
