I wake to the smell of bacon cooking on the stove. I immediately jump out of bed and run down the stairs to the table where 4 full plates of food sit.
"Wow, this looks delicious Peeta."
I tell him sitting down at one of the seats.
"Well, none but the best for my beautiful family." he says back, with a large grin that practically spreads across his face from one ear to the other.
"What do y'all want to do today?" Peeta asks the kids who have a mouth full of food.
"Umm I want to go to the bakery." willow says.
"Mee too!" Rye says kind of mocking Willow.
"Well, I guess that settles it, let's get your clothes on and we can go."
I say to Willow and Rye as I finish my plate and walk towards their rooms.
"Mommy, are you gonna come with us to the bakery?" Willow asks with hope in her eyes.
"Of corse. Why wouldn't I?" I ask her curiously.
"I don't know I just thought you had something better I do."
"No, I'd much rather spend time with y'all."
"Good, because I want to spend time with you too." She sad back with a grin.
"PEETA!?" I yell up the stairs.
"COMING!" Peeta yells back at me as he dashes down the stairs.
"Are y'all ready to go?" I ask the kids.
"Yup, but I need to put on my coat."
Willow says in a stern but sweet voice.
"Rye needs to put coat on too, it's burrrrrrrr outside." Rye says looking up at Peeta with glimmering eyes that shine in the sunlight.
"Ok, well let's hurry so we can get to the bakery in time." Peeta responds.
"In time for what?" I ask
"In time for my special surprise." Peeta says back.
"Ooo, ooo Rye likes surprises." Rye says loudly.
"I know you do bud." Peeta says back to him picking him up into his strong arms.
"Now let's go." Peeta tells us leading the way.
10 mins later we arrive at the bakery and we follow Peeta inside. The smell of fresh baked pie fills the room.
"Surprise!" Peeta yells.
"I made your favorites." He tells us.
"Yayy!" Rye squeals.
"Cherry pie or Willow, Pumpkin for Rye..."
"And for Katniss I made your favorite fresh baked Apple pie." he says showing me the pie.
"Thank you SOO much Peeta, this is a great surprise." I say pulling him into a hug.
"No problem." he says putting his arms around me and pulling me in tighter.
"Daddy, can you cut me a slice?" Willow asks looking up at Peeta.
"Of corse, how much do you want?" He asks
"A BIG slice." she responds.
"Ok, I'll be right back." Peeta says walking into the kitchen.
5 mins later Peeta walks out of the kitchen, hands full with pie.
"Here you go." he says placing a slice of pie in front of each of us.
We eat our treat quickly and walk bak to the house.
As we walk up the steps I turn the knob on the door and it doesn't budge.
I search for the key but it is nowhere to be found.
"Oh no, were locked out of the house."
