Always?

(Chapter 18) Leaving District 4

•••Peetas pov•••

I wake up to the sound of a loud and annoying alarm beeping at me. I look over and quickly swing my arm over and turn it off before it wakes up the kids or Katniss.
I decide I should probably get up and get ready to go. Today we are leaving District 4, I'm kind of sad because we have had such a great trip and I don't want it to end.
I slowly get out of the bed and walk over to the dresser. One be one I take the clothes out and stick them into the large suitcase that was once full of a large amount of clothing. As I put the final things into the suitcase and zip it up I realize that I still have my pajamas on and I just packed away the clothes I was going to wear today.
Sometimes I wonder why this always happens to me.
Flashback:
"Okay Peeta ready to go?" Katniss yells holding baby Willow in her arms.
"Uh ya I think so...am I missing anything?" I ask.
"Umm everything but your clothes." she says back with a large grin spread across her face.
"Oh oops..."
Flashback over
I hear A soft voice start to speak and know for a fact it's Katniss.
"Peeta are you okay?"
I let out a big sigh "Uh... ya I just packed my clothes before I changed again." I say back and I know immediately that she is laughing at me.
"You can go back to sleep, sorry for waking you up." I say back sweetly and sure enough, like she always does, gets out of bed and walks over. wraps her arms around me and tells me that she can't go back to sleep because she is already awake.
Then I think to myself why I even bother to waste my breath telling her to go back to sleep when I know she won't.
I guess it's just because I love her and I want her to be at her finest not tired and grumpy from lack of sleep.
"Morning Beautiful." I say kissing her forehead.
"Morning." she says back giving me a big hug.
"You hungry?" I ask.
"Uh ya, a little. But we should wait to the kids wake up." she says quickly as to sort of tell me that she doesn't want to leave the kids here by themselves.
"Okay that works, we'll just wait for them to wake up and go eat as a family. Does that sound good to you?" I ask.
"Ya that sounds great!" she says back with a small but cute smile that I love because it brings out her dimples which makes her that much more attractive.
Katniss and I pack the rest of our things leaving out the clothes that the kids will be wearing today, and then sit down on the couch.
"Peeta?" I hear and look over at Katniss.
"Yes?" I say looking into her beautiful brownish/grey eyes.
"Do you think we could do this again someday?" She asks.
"Of corse!" I say back.
"Why wouldn't we?"
"Well I always feel like we never really have time between the kids school and the bakery." she says sadly
"We'll make time. Even if we have to take the kids out of a couple days of school." I say back.
"Okay good. I like these trips especially because I get to spend it with my family." she says back leaning closer to me and resting her head on my chest.

•••Katniss pov•••

I'm really sad about leaving District 4 today. The past few days have been so much fun and our family got to make so many amazing memories that I'm sure we'll never forget. I've decided I want to start taking vacations more often. Even if it's just me and Peeta, it was good to get away from all the work and cleaning. It was also good to get away from having to set a timer because we don't want the kids to be late for school. This vacation has been a reminder to me that sometimes we need to just take a week or so off.

I'm then pulled from my thoughts when I hear a little sleepy voice call me from behind "mommy, I'm hungry." I look over an see a small Rye rubbing his eyes.
"Okay, we'll go get food when your sister wakes up." I say back and he automatically runs over and starts yelling for Willow to wake up. I know better than to say "when your sister wakes up" I should have known he would of done that.
"Well, now that we're all up let's go get something to eat." Peeta says laughing.
I take Willows hand and Peeta picks Rye up and we walk out the door with our suitcases.
Once our plates are empty we meet Finn and Annie outside. We then start to walk towards the train station.
As we get on the train I catch a slight glimpse of the Beach. The ocean water tumbling onto the sand, the kids running up and down the dock, the beautiful sunrise that peeks right above the waves.
Man I'm gonna miss this place.
