Kalli Mitchell could remember the first time she had an encounter with SHIELD and it wasn't good. She could remeber the detention centre, the small skylight above the metal bed with the thin matters. The floor to ceiling glass wall on the one side so everyone could see inside, as if Kalli was a wild animal they had captured.

She shook her head of the memories resurfacing as she stood in the conference room beside the desk. Kalli had offered to continue her interrogation, however, Fury insisted that he'd complete it. Kalli wasn't pleased, but followed Fury's orders and joined her team up in the conference room.

Natasha glanced at Kalli room across the table. The Shadowhunter was exceptional at covering her emotions from everyone around her, however, the Russian and the Brit had spent too much time together outside of work, they knew each other better that anyone. Natasha could see right past her hard exterior and the consistent watchful gaze from the Asgardian didn't go unnoticed by the Russian either.

Loki had now been freed from his cuffs and had now been detained in side a cell, much similar to the one Kalli was held in, with a live video feed linking up to the conference room. Kalli watched on, her arms crossed over her chest as she did. "In case it's unclear," Fury spoke with authority as he approached the control panel. "You try to escape, you so much as scratch that glass." Fury pressed a button on the control panel, opening up the floor below. "Thirty-thousand feet, straight down on a steel trap. Do you get how that works!?" Fury closed up the floor below the cell. He then pointed to Loki. "Ant." He then proceeded to point at the control panel. "Boot."

Kalli would've laughed if it was under different circumstances. She remained as stiff as a soldier.

Loki walked around his cell and took in a brief observation. "It's an impressive cage," he spoke in a monotone voice. "Not built, I think, for me."

"Built for someone a lot stronger than you."

"Oh, I've heard," he smirked. Loki then turned to face the camera which was transmitting every last millisecond. "The mindless beast, makes play he's still a man. How desperate are you, that you call upon lost creatures to defend you?"

Fury looked baffled at Loki's response. "How desperate am I? You threaten my world with war. You steal a force you can't hope to control.

"You talk about peace and you kill because it's fun. You have made me very desperate. You might not be glad that you did that."

"Ooh. It burns you to come so close," Loki mocked. His consistent smirk made Kalli want to slap it right off his face. "To have the Tesseract, to have power, unlimited power? And for what? A warm light for all mankind to share, and then to be reminded what real power is."

Fury simply smiled. "Well, let me know if "Real Power" wants a magazine or something."

Kalli stared at the screen until it faded to black. What was uncovered was hard to swallow, even for the dark-haired Shadowhunter. Thor stood not too far away from the Shadowhunter woman, in silence and torn apart by his brother's actions. Kalli couldn't relate, she had never been stabbed in the back by anyone. She'd break people's hearts before they could get too close to her. It kept her safe.

"He really grows on you, doesn't he?" Doctor Banner spoke up, breaking the silence.

Steve sighed and sat straighter in his chair. "Loki's gonna drag this out," he announced and had a surge of confidence running through him when Natasha nodded in agreement. "So, Thor, what's his play?"

Thor cleared his throat, gathering himself before he spoke. "He has an army called the Chitauri," he explained and when Kalli turned and raised an eyebrow, he continued. "They're not of Asgard or any world known. He means to lead them against your people. They will win him the earth in return, I suspect, the Tesseract."
