With Collin Branwell now in the hand of Clave officials, Kalli left the scene in the search for Steve and Natasha. Kalli dodged falling debris from buildings and directed abandoned citizens to safe places to stay until the battle was over.
Drawing her daggers, Kalli sprinted towards Steve and Natasha as they were fighting of Chitauri soldiers. Kalli fought them off, helping out Rogers and Romanoff. The dark-haired woman stabbed and kicked at the Chitauri but the more they eliminated, the more that came through the portal above Stark Tower.
Kalli stabbed the last Chiaturi soldier surrounding them as she turned to face the Captain. "Branwell in under arrest," the Nephilim informed, "Clave representatives are with him now, however, they under orders not to return to Idris unless they've secured The Mortal Instruments."
"Captain," Natasha breathed, "none of this is gonna mean a damn thing if we don't close that portal."
Steve shook his head. "Our biggest guns couldn't touch it."
"Well, maybe it's not about guns," Kalli smirked as she pointed up towards the flying chariots.
Steve looked at Kalli skeptically. "You wanna get up there, you're gonna need a ride."
"I got a ride," Kalli shrugged. "I could use a lift though."
Kalli backed up to give herself a running start as Steve angled his shield. "Are you sure about this?" Natasha asked.
"The sooner I get The Instruments, the sooner they can get Branwell on the stand under the Soul Sword and yeah," Kalli shrugged, "it's gonna be fun."
With a deep breath, Kalli ran and jumped on the hood of a nearby car, launched herself into Steve's shield and with the assistance of the Captain, Kalli shot up into the air. Kalli caught the underside of a chariot and pulled herself up, careful not to fall to her death. Kalli pulled out two knives from her utility belt and stabbed a Chitauri in the chest and threw him overboard. The Nephilim then jumped on the back of the Chitauri piolet, stabbing her knives into his nervous system allowing her to control his moments.
Kalli managed to keep control as she zipped through the city skies, heading to the roof of Stark Tower. Something hits the side of Kalli's chariot. Kalli looks around and couldn't see anything so she looked behind her to see Loki right on her tail. "Oh," she said with disappointment. "You."
Turning around Kalli dove downwards, careful not to dive in the way of her team mates. Loki was hot in pursuit, not willing to let Kalli go all that easily. Kalli drove between buildings at speed but she couldn't shake Loki off of her. The two raced madly through the city skyline, driving and dodging one another.
"Kal, what are you doing?" Clint asked through her ear piece.
"Having a game of ping pong," Kalli rolled her eyes. "What the fuck does it look like?"
Clint pulled an arrow from his quiver, loading his bow and aimed it at Loki with a smile. "I've got him."
It wasn't too long before Kalli heard an explosion behind her. She smiled. Looking down, Kalli could see the roof; she jumped off the chariot and rolled towards end of the roof. Bringing her momentum to a hault, Kalli's piecing gaze lifted from the ground, her long hair that was swept back into a ponytail slashed at her cotton clad back.
Climbing to her feet, Kalli stalked over to the CMS machine that held the Tesseract. Along with the Tesseract was in fact The Mortal Instruments. The Mortal Cup was being used as a heat amplifier, the sun's rays being magnified. Laying flat under the Tesseract was the Mortal Sword. The Sword was giving off a heat signature, the heat ascending upwards towards the Tesseract, giving the cube the temperature required to open the portal. The longer the Tesseract had a heat source, the stronger the energy became.
