Kalli had engaged in battle before, that's what all her training was for from a young age. To lead an army into a war foretold decades ago, an army she wanted nothing to do with. Dispite all her diabolical training, nothing could prepare Kalli for the battle ahead.
Clint dropped Kalli and Chris off on the ground just as a black hole rips open above Stark Tower, the Chitauri Army spilling through. Kalli told Clint to leave, telling him they'd have it covered.
Kalli and Chris then split up to cover more ground between the two of them. The Chitauri were coming from all directions as Kalli unsheathed both daggers. A Chitauri soldier dropped in front of her and launched itself at her. Kalli was quicker and stabbed the Chitauri in the neck before running off into the distance to find Romanoff, Barton and Rogers.
Kalli stopped as multiple Chitauri surrounded her. Dropping her daggers, Kalli used her powers to flatten every Chitauri soldier down to the ground, leaving the Mundane citizens unharmed. Kalli congered up a portal and stepped through, ending up at Chris's side. "They just keep coming," she said, trading her daggers for her guns.
"You not wrong there," Chris responded, firing arrows to the Chitauri around the both of them.
Kalli chuckled to herself as she reloaded her gun of ammunition. "Its just like Berlin all over again."
Chris rolled his eyes. "You and I remember Berlin very differently."
Kalli kept shooting bullets as she emerged from her grounded spot while Chris stayed put, watching Kalli's back. Kalli put her guns back in their holsters and changed her bracket into her whip, snapping it to stiffen the metal into her staff. A Chitauri came behind Steve, him not seeing, so Kalli threw her staff through the air, the pointed end stabbing through the Chitauri's skull.
"Thanks, Kalli," Steve said.
Kalli yanked her staff of the Chitauri, a look of disgust printed on her face the she saw the black blood on her staff. "Yeah," the Shadowhunter grimaced, "you're welcome, Cap."
Kalli turned her attention back to the battle at hand. She used her staff as an advantage against the enemy. Kalli kicked a energy rifle from the hand of a Chitauri soldier, ending up by Natasha, and stabbed the creature. Another approached the Nephilim and Kalli held her staff in both hands to block the enemies attack. Chris stabbed one of his arrows into the Chitauri's neck, giving Kalli a helping hand.
While Kalli was taking out Chitauri with the energy rifle, Kalli changed the staff back to her whip. She cracked the whip and the metal wrapped around the legs of one of the Chitauri. With a harsh tug, Kalli pulled the soldier to the ground and over to her. The Shadowhunter unsheathed one of her daggers and stabbed the Chitauri in the chest.
There was too many for the five Avengers to tackle alone, the opposing side circling them at every side. Lightening stuck down from the skies above, channelling an energy blast, firing the electricity out towards the Chitauri soldiers around them. The opposing side are sent back in a shockwave, convulsing, and dropped to the ground, dead. Thor then touched down beside Kalli and never before had Kalli been so relieved to see back up. Thor glanced at Kalli, causing Kalli to smirk back.
Seeing Thor, Steve approached in the hopes that Thor had some information. "What's the story upstairs?" The Captain asked.
"The powers surrounding the cube is impenetrable," Thor informed. He then turned to Kalli. "Your artefacts are up there."
Kalli nodded in appritication, giving Thor the smallest of smiles that she could muster. As small as it was, it made grin stretch across Thor's face.
"Thor is right," Tony said over the comms. "We got ya deal with this things and Kalli, you never said that The Instruments could be used as a heat source."
