Chapter 2

"So...I see we caught you in a private session." Hector smirks as he sees the two in conversation. He and his group of warriors place down in a line in front of them.

"You're breaking the truce. We don't fight until I decide who goes into battle with Derek." My voice was quaking with anger as she struggled to contain her rage.

"Haha," Hector laughs at her response," Well to rush your decision Derek wanted us to talk to you. But you know...Derek isn't here. So, we can do whatever." Hector ran at me with such speed that she threw Dalin back into the force field that hid the rest of the students and faculty of Clearview High School.

The humans only saw flashes, where the blades were clashing between Hector and me. Our movements were too fast for the human eye. Only a blur of us could be seen if one was lucky, but in this moment of distress and anger, actions had to be made with quick thoughts and agile bodies. When I managed to get Hector a reasonable distance away from me so I could gather myself and plan for future attacks, more black figures appeared on either side of me.

"So, this is your idea of a fight. Hardly fair, but as you know, I've killed half of your army wounded." I spoke with an easy voice despite having thoughts of how I was going to get through this one.

THEY HAVE THEIR BEST WARRIORS. WHERE THE HELL ARE THEY?

"Be so that it may, I have Azrael and Alayah AND Rozaeous. Where are your warriors? Hmmm? Out scavenging for food for the worthless lives in that field?" Hector gestured to the area in the auditorium where the students were placed. As I spectated Hector's posse I noticed their beautiful yet decievingly deadly looks. Azrael was petite, with long, straight, blonde hair, but I have seen her in war before. To make a judgment on her deceiving looks would be a fatal one. Alayah was tall, she had a scar that reached from her hairline down to her neck. She had night dark hair cut into a pixie cut. She was muscular, judging from the scars on her limbs, she had been in many fights and won them all. Rozaeous was big, built for war. He had a chiseled jaw, with jet-black hair similar to Alayah's. His muscles bulged from the slightest movement and he was closest to me.

As they backed me into a corner, 3 crashes echoed from the roof to the walls.

"I see we are late for a party. You know, it's no fun to invite four people to rendezvous with, how about you add three more people to your admissions list. Wait, well it doesn't really matter now, does it. We already knocked out your bouncer." Jeremy said with a smile that could only provoke Hector.

"Well, the more the merrier. Azrael, Alayah, Rozaeous, why don't you three keep their attention. Shouldn't be too hard anyway," Hector orders all the while keeping his eyes on me.

The three followed orders from their master and flung themselves toward my group with determination to please their master.

"Now where were we, darling? Ah, business. Have you come to a decision yet?"

Sparks flew from the current battles taking place on the ground including aerial fights. I couldn't help but watch for my group. The battles were too close. Each pair equally matched in skill and determination to win.

"We'd already be engaged in a full force battle if I had decided wouldn't we? More importantly, you would have no need to be here if I had decided." My temper began to crack, anger and irritation seeping through my voice, eyes beginning to darken, pupil and the white.

"Yeah, I guess so. In the meantime, why don't we just test our strengths?" Hector was beginning to close in on me, the beastly look in his eye was irritating me, pushing me over the edge.

I pulled out my blade with such quickness a deafening sound pierced the ears of the students and interrupted to currents fights. My blade was fit at the hilt, the blade had intricate patterns on the titanium steel it rested on. I could feel my eyes turning black, my anger was finally oozing out of its container and I could barely control what I said.

"Hmm, WHY NOT!!" My blade struck his so hard that he stumbled back. "HA!" The darkness in myself was finally out. "Why don't we fight to death? Then maybe I will decide who goes to battle."

"You say that as if you know you'll win. But why not, Derek will win and defeat everyone after you're dead. You've got a deal!" He struck my blade and I matched the blows perfectly.

Snarls were coming out of my mouth. The evil was finally here full force and ready to go. I laughed, "Is that all you have? You're weak. Nothing but the scum you step on the road." My voice was changing. Becoming the darkness that is now my eyes. I was growing cocky, my strikes becoming stronger and faster. But with confidence comes fault, and my fault was a misplacing of my foot.
