chapter two - old friends

Next morning comes earlier than it should’ve, and I’m upset that it did because then we have to pack, and I have to get my test done before 6 pm. Ugh. College kid struggles. I go to the bathroom do my business in there, including brushing my teeth, and put my contacts in. It’s 8:30 and Feather should be getting up in a couple minutes so I then grab my phone and go downstairs and make coffee and tea, Feather drinks the tea. I wash my hands and grab a baking sheet and turn on the oven for 350, then putting the bacon on another grill thing so it won’t bathe in the grease it makes. I put a skillet on a take out the eggs and wait for the skillet to warm up.

    The coffee maker dings meaning the coffee is ready and the tea has a bit more to go before it’s the perfect black tea she likes. I take the fruit out of the fridge and wash off some grapes and kiwi; mmm Kiwi!! Feather walks in and grabs a cup and puts the tea in her cup and goes to the fridge to put some vanilla creamer in her cup and stirs it together and goes to the living room and turns on the tv to anime. The oven dings and I put the bacon in, and cook the rest of breakfast.

By the time Evan comes in the kitchen I finish his eggs. He kisses my temple and takes his eggs, and puts bacon on his plate and takes the bowl of cantaloupe. I grab my food and sit in the living room with Feather and Evan, they dig in while I open my laptop and log in my test, I have only 20 questions left, great. I eat a kiwi and finally remembering that I forgot bread, so I go get some. I come back into the living room to see Evan eating my bacon, ugh. I woke up upset so I’m kind of ticked off so I give him the bread and just finish my fruit quitely.

*Ding Ding*

Daithi:

Can’t wait to see my little sister again!

I smile a bit, man I missed this guy. I set down my fruit and click on his text, I text him back.

Meh:

I know I miss you, Daithi! What hotel are you staying at? We are staying at Doubletree, a few blocks away from the convention center.

*few minutes later*

Daithi: who’s ‘we’? Me and Emily are staying there too. Is Evan going? what about your roommate?

Daithi: GOd answer me!! for fucks sake Lauren!

Meh:

Jesus! Yes! Her name is Feather! Yes she is coming!

Meh:

G a w d! It’s too early to deal with you rn s2g! *violently eats my fruit*

Daithi:

why are you violently eating your fruit? I’m sorry.

I set my phone down and smile a bit before getting up to do the dishes, Daithi is so dumb I swear. I laugh a bit and Evan looks at me weird, damn this guy is really pissing me off this morning. I get up and go to my room, might as well start packing for E3. I sigh and then think might as well go to the gym. I put on my yoga pants and a sports bra with a nike sleeveless shirt.

“I’m going to the gym, don’t bother me fuckers” I yell as I go out of the front door. I slammed it a bit too harsh and kind of regret it but doesn’t matter now, I’m upset.

Asshole Evan:

Hey baby, are you okay?

bleh. not answering him.

Asshole Evan:

I know you’re mad. I’m sorry I ate your food.

It’s not just that, Evan… I’m overthinking.

Meh:

Don’t sweat it. I’m just a bit upset, you always eat my food I wasn’t that mad lol. Over Thinking, I’ll be fine. I love you. Asshole.

Mr. Fong:

I love you too.

As I get to the gym I notice someone… Ross?

“Ross?” I kinda yell and kinda say normally (if that makes any sense?)

He turns around and it is Ross, oh my god!

“Oh my god, Ross?! What are you doing here?” I say as he smiles and hugs me, I missed him so much!

“Lauren, I didn’t know you lived here in California? How long have you been here? Whoah, your muscles! Haven’t heard from you for years!” He says in the middle of the hug, then it comes back to me. I left them and didn’t tell them I was leaving for good, I just got accepted and I wanted to just leave, so I did. I didn’t tell anybody, I just left. Well I told my parents but that was it.

“Oh my gosh! I’m sorry I left like that, I was just so excited to leave! Did you just get done or?” He shakes his head, telling me, he just got there so he was my exercising buddy today I guess. He lost a lot of weight, good for him.

    We get done two hours later, and go into the locker rooms and change. We decide to go to a coffee shop, I guess he’d been going there for a while since some of the workers knew him.

“So how are you? You lost a lot of weight, are you single? Where have you been nigga?” He spills.

“Chilll… I’m amazing, yes I know I lost all of it, I have a boyfriend and I been here all these years. I’m graduating from UCLA in a couple of weeks. Feather is here too! We live a couple blocks down the road if you want to see it!” I tell him.

“It’s kind of messy because we are rushing around and doing laundry because of E3 which is in New York” He agrees to see the apartment.

He doesn’t own a car yet so we get on mine, he askes when E3 is and I told him we are leaving tomorrow and what E3 is about and who is all there. Got me even MORE excited than before.

Meh to Mr. Fong:

HEY! Emergency! My friend from back home was at the gym, he’s coming over for a bit! Put a shirt on, close the laundry room! xox

Meh to Feather:

HEY! ROSS IS IN KALIFORNIA! OMFG! HE’S COMING OVER FOR A BIT!

Mr. Fong:

Is he a guy? Should I be worried?

Meh: nah. he’s chill.

Mr. Fong:

I don’t feel like being jealous today.

Meh:

Shut up. you shouldn’t be jealous anyways! I’m driving! I’ll be home soon. Please?

Feather:

YAY!

I park the Range Rover in the parking lot and me and Ross talk about what has been going on the res and who is going with who and all that. When we get in the elevator, we SnapChat and Facebook who we saw in gym. lol.

Ross tagged you in a post: Guess who I saw in my gym earlier? Lauren! I missed her! Glad I found her, I thought she was gone!

I open the door to the apartment and Evan and Feather are in the livingroom. The laundry door is closed and Evan has a shirt on! THANK GOD!

“Feather!” I yell. Her head pops up and she gets off the couch and runs over to Ross, she wraps her small arms around him and yells “I missed you!”

Evan walks over to us and wraps his arm around my waist and looks down at me, mouthing “I never seen Feather do something like that” I smile and mouth “I did. He is like family to her” He smiles and looks at Ross.

“Hey what’s up man, I’m Evan” He introduces himself, Feather looks up and tells Ross that she heard me and Evan do the nasty so many times and her ears bleed every time. Me and Evan go red and I tell her to shut up, Ross looks at me pervy and laughs.

“You guys are embarrassing shut up” I joke.
