Great Zimbabwe

Third Person

After getting to know each other, they became partners. Even though they always scoff, mock, argue or even fight each other, they still can get along sometimes. It's just their sign of agreement.

Alisa asked his name and he returned her words "Carter", also returning the favor by saying her name too.

They talked about their intentions and objectives and even interrogated each other to avoid suspicions.

Carter was confused about Alisa's appearance and Alisa can't say the truth since it might make him break the agreement they made. And because it's also unexplainable and mysterious, she hid the truth by stating that she just ran away from home that is very far to be reached.

Carter offered some loaf to fill her energy.

Carter also stated that he doesn't have a permanent place since he's finding his home. He is a great adventurist with great thinking and knowledge. He makes antidotes, potions and he's also a cartographer.

That's where his name originated as he mentioned.

Alisa was pretending to listen well, then out of a sudden, he asked a question.

Alisa was in a daydream and was not paying attention to his story either his question.

Alisa wondered what is outside his so-called "lair" looked like, so she stood up and covered her arms with the blanket that Carter used to warm her.

As she stepped out of the tent, the sunlight's shadow hits her head as she feels the sun's warm rays and the fresh green trees shading the tent.

To her surprise, on her left, a sort of structure greeted her sight. She felt like it was familiar. She then snapped her fingers and walked over there. She finally realized that it is the Great Zimbabwe's old houses.

It means that this place was made centuries ago and familiarizing her sight more ruins of this place were visible afar. She then went excited and started mumbling things about this place.

Carter warned Alisa not to touch anything unless it's within his permission, but as soon as he went out, he doesn't saw Alisa standing there.

He commanded Massera to search her scent and track her area. Carter was annoyed and regretted his decision of letting Alisa go without his guidance. Meanwhile,

Alisa wrote things on a journal he stole from Carter's messy worktable.

As she reviewed the pages, she noticed drawings that were familiar to her and it even had details about that specific sketch.

"It's the shard!"

She grabbed the shard in her pocket and compared the drawing and the shard she got from her previous locations.

The book explained that these shards were connected to the Sun Calendar which was found in Mexico. Also, the fact that it says that these stones can give you lives, one per stone, was pretty shocking.

While she was scribbling her thoughts, she felt energy flowing. It controlled her movement and made her walk towards the energy.

It's unstoppable and it will automatically attract her motion to that specific area. She bonked her head on a wooden door. She found this strange but then continued to open it, slowly walking over small debris.

This is the last house that is stable and had a door with only a few cracks and damages. It is filled with items and there was one that stood out the most.

Because of Alisa's curiosity, it made her open the black leathered box. She opened the box and inside was a crystal jewelry.

There is a letter saying that this shall be given to someone.

A knock was heard coming from the door, it was Carter.

He was panting and she just stood there holding the yellow crystal necklace. Carter facepalmed and grabbed her arms. He warned her not to touch anything or they would be in trouble.

Alisa argued by spouting meaningless words. He argued back by saying "If anyone dares to touch the ancestral materials, they will have bad luck." She just scoffed and removed the gem, not even believing in his words.

From the distance, when they walked out the doorstep, an army of angry tribe men was screeching, her eyes went wide and Carter pulled her.

He called Massera and have them send away from that area. Carter blamed Alisa for what happened,but they can't fight now because they were busy fleeing away from those dangerous foes.

The army of tribe men became even worse, it rapidly blocked all the exit ways and they even got many than before. Carter was on his fighting stance while Alisa was just panicking there, wishing them to be sent away from the alley.

When the tribe men engaged, Alisa closed her eyes and a large yellow barrier covered them, and made them disappear.
