Chapter 8

Theater of Dionysus

Third Person

After Alisa's sickening headache, Carter showed her what he found. A mysterious-looking shard that is glowing green and blue.

Alisa asked Carter where did he found it and replied that he found it when Mishigo disappeared. Alisa touched the shard and it teleported them in the middle of a forest, somewhere in Europe.

While finding a way out, they found a magnificently looking theater. They went inside to take a look.

They found a statue of a man holding a bottle of wine with a weird glowing necklace. Alisa wanted to touch the necklace but Carter warned her not to be careless and touch things that are unknown to them.

Even so, because of Alisa's curiosity and stubbornness, she touched the necklace. A sudden earthquake occurred, after the earthquake, soldiers came out of nowhere and surrounded Alisa and Carter.

Then, there is this one man that seemed to lead the soldiers, he's name was King Perseus.

The king was so upset at them because they entered the theater and touched the precious necklace. He ordered his soldiers to arrest them.

They were contained in different cells away from each other. Alisa has a hairpin and tried to break the locks of her cell.

When Alisa busted out of her cell, she quickly went to Carter and freed him using the same method she used to unlock her cell.

After setting Carter free, they both looked for a way out. They found a possible way but they were immediately stopped because they were on a cliff straight down the Atlantic Ocean.

Eventually, the soldiers and King Perseus found them and cornered them.

King Perseus said, "There is no way out. Alisa, if you would like, I can let you trade your lives for the shards that you possessed."

Alisa didn't accept the king's offer, so the king ordered his men to push towards them with their weapons so they will be forced to fall to the ocean.

Alisa said to Carter, "We have no choice, we either jump and live or fight and die."

Their only choice to live is to jump, so they both decided to jump from the cliff into the Atlantic
