Red String of Fate

Alisa's POV

I heard chirping, it feels so soft and warm. Is that a heartrate monitor? W-wait am I in a hospital bed? What actually happened? I tried moving my fingers while slowly opening my eyes. My eyes adjusted to the room's brightness. I saw Kiri sleeping on the table.

"Kiri?" She woke up immediately after hearing my voice.

"Mi-miss Blue?" She rubbed her eyes, as if she couldn't believe that I woke up. She widened her eyes and jumped on me. "You-you're awake! You scared me Alisa. I thought you're going to leave me!" She sobbed.

"C-could you please get off, I can't b-breathe." I said as I pushed her a little.

(End of Alisa's POV)

The doctors checked her up and concluded that she is in a good condition now, but she still need to stay a little longer because she is still unstable and she just regained her consciousness.

Kiri kept accompanying her, telling her stories and why she ended up being hospitalized. One day Kiri stopped visiting her due to the works she needed to do.

Three days had passed and she's still on her wardroom. Kiri still doesn't visit her. She's bored to death. She wanted to go out but it was prohibited.

She really wanted to go outside so she decided to cut her IV strap. She got up and grabbed a coat for a disguise. She wore her slippers carefully sneaking out. She managed to avoid the hospital staffs and find the staircases. She succeeded and finally got out.

Near the hospital, she saw a bay. It's very windy and hot in there and she liked it. She felt relaxed.

"I like this feeling. It is so much better than being stuck in the office while withstanding my back pain." I sighed.

"I agree with you, little miss." A cool and deep voice was heard above her.

A handsome boy was standing behind her. His arm was resting on an arm strap and a square patch was covering his left cheek.

"I guess you also like this place. I've been going here these past three days after I woke up from coma." He smiled.

"My name's Carter. May I know your name?" He reached out his hand warmly.

"I am Alisa, Alisa Blue. Pleased to meet you."

Destiny has brought them back together. Maybe they really do have an invisible red thread that connects them.

A red string of fate that connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place or circumstance. This magical cord may stretch or tangled but it will never break.

Do you think the universe fights for souls to be together? Some things are too strange and strong to be coincidences. Oh well, what's meant to be will always find a way.
