[Umm.. hi?]

Mitch

First off, do not ever refer to me as a wizard. Because commoners associate pointy hats and shiny robes with wizards and that is not what I am. Are we clear?

I, am a sorcerer. Take a couple minutes to process that. Are you done now?

I am not a fairytale wizard that uses a wand or potions. We, the Men of Goldwood, use staffs and real magic that makes us more powerful than the Firecrest Army. Think of the strongest group of people you know. Now multiply their strength by 400 and you have ours. Got it? Good.

We are masters of combat, masters of spells, and masters of mind control. We are strict and secluded, and we do not back down. Our job is to protect and proceed. We care for our brethren, but show no mercy to those who have fallen.

There are 9 of us total. I am the leader. Despite our undivided loyalty towards each other and unwavering trust, my brothers chose me to lead them through whatever challenges come our way. My duty is to protect each and every one of them, and all of their lives come before my own. There is Avriel, our wisest. Kevin, our smartest. Thomas, our fastest. Dallas, our quickest thinker. Martin, our strongest. Jake, our strategist. Alex, our best spell-caster. And Scott. He's unique, that one. While he is our brother, he holds us down and is a burden to us. But regardless, we have to do everything in our power to sustain not only ourselves, but him as well.

Scott is smart, and a good spell-caster, but he suffers from irregularities that are incurable by humane doctors. At the time of his birth, Scott's birthgiver used magic(which is illegal in our village) to speed up his birth and sterilize the pain during labor. She died during pregnancy, and Scott was born with complications. He grew up homeless and unwanted due to his mental issues.

The original leader of the Men of Goldwood took him in, just like he took the rest of us in, at the age of 14.

That is my role as their leader, and it is what sustains the magic that courses through my veins and makes me more powerful than the Men of Goldwood. To look after our village, Goldwood, and look after my brothers. With only a few small difficulties, I could break away from them and become my own person. But that is something that I shall not do. Ever.

These are my brethren. And I am their leader.
