My alarm clock sounded like a choking peacock. I mumbled and went downstairs to eat breakfast. Triston was drawing a horse on a piece of wrinkled paper. Liam was eating the last 4 donut holes which I saved for myself.

"Liam, those were mine!" I clenched my fists.

"Here." Liam extended his arm and handed me 2.

"Thanks." I said and shoved one into my mouth. The chocolate coating practically dissolved on my tongue.

I brushed my hair and teeth after I finished eating, then got dressed. It was 80°F today, so I wore a crop top with a pastel tiger face on the front with a pair of teal, ripped short-shorts. I slipped my feet into my pink converse them braided my blonde hair to the side. I swiped on some mascara and lipgloss, rubbed on deodorant, and spritzed on perfume from Victoria's Secret.

I hopped into my Camaro and cautiously backed out of the driveway, then screeched down the road to Chino High school. I parked then went to my locker and put away my lunchbox. I'm in locker 733, but I have no clue who is in 734, but someone is definitely there because I smell clouds of cologne coming from it.

After lunch, I beat the crowd back to my locker. Someone was standing by my locker. It was ︎Cam, the guy from Wendy's. I didn't realize we'd be locker buddies. After all, my last name is Daniels and his is Dallas. I tapped him on the shoulder. I could've swore a tornado was tearing through my stomach.

"Hey, Em." ︎Cam flashed a smile.

"Hey." I replied.

"You should text me later, we can have stupid conversations." He joked.

"Okay." I said sarcastically and rolled my eyes. "I didn't know you were in locker 734."

"I don't come to my locker too often." ︎Cam shrugged and put his hands in the pockets of his maroon hoodie. "You look nice today."

I smiled, and probably blushed a little, too. "Thanks. You too." I fumbled my thumbs. ︎Cam laughed and gazed into my eyes. He hovered over me and kissed my forehead.

"See ya!" He slipped down the hall.

"See ya." I muttered under my breath.

I haven't seen ︎Cam in about a week. It made my heart ache. I really do like him. I was playing "house" with Triston when our doorbell rang. I brushed my fingers through my hair and went to the door. I swung it open, and behind it was a tall, tan man with dark brown hair spiked up in the front. He held a small bunch of roses.

"Hello! Is Laurie here?" His voice was deep.

"Yeah, I'm her daughter, Emily. I'll go get her." I told him. "You can come in."

He wiped his feet on our welcome mat and glanced around. The man stood in the threshold as the door creaked shut.

I raced to the second floor and knocked on her door.

"A guy is here to see you. He's in the kitchen." I said.

"I'll be down in a sec." She wiped her curled hair away from her ear and slid on a pair of pearl earrings.

I went back to the kitchen, attempting to make conversation as I waited for mom.

"So, what's your name?" I asked.

"Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Drew Dallas." My. Dallas's arm reached out to me. I shook it, then froze. Dallas. Cameron. Was this his dad?

"Nice to meet you." I grinned and my mom joined us.

"Glad to see you're getting along." My mom smile with satisfaction.

"Hi! Good to see you again, sweetheart." Drew Dallas opened his arms and embraced my mother.

"I'll leave you two to be." I winked and sat on my bed upstairs.

Mr. Dallas seemed very nice. I texted ︎Cam.

Hey!

Hey, whatcha dooooin?

My mom has a date in the kitchen, for the thousandth time

Cool, I guess.

We texted until 10 o'clock, getting to know each other. Here's what I've gathered: he's 5'9, he goes to Chino High school, he's 18. His full name is Cameron Alexander Dallas, his birthday is September 8, 1996. He also loves to make people laugh.

I've come to the conclusion that ︎Cam is just perfect. I love everything about him. I strongly believe that he likes me, I mean, it's not that often that a guy randomly kisses you on the cheek when you barely know him. ︎Cam does that, though.

My mother had many more dates with Drew Dallas. When I saw ︎Cam at school, I asked him, "Is your dad dating someone?"

"Yeah," ︎Cam laughed. "Her name is Laurie. She seems really nice." ︎Cameron said.

"Well... You see, I don't know how to put this, but Laurie is my mom." I stuttered

"I knew that, silly." ︎Cam patted my head and smiled.

"Oh." I gaped.

"Maybe while their on a date, I could come over sometime." He bit his lower lip with his white teeth.

"Yeah, sure. Just text me when." He headed to his sixth hour class.

I felt the storm in my stomach whirl up again. Was he asking me out? Does he like me? "︎Cam, wait!" I sprinted after him. He spun around and glanced at me. "I really need to know something... Do you... Like me?" I chewed on my lip, and felt my palms moisten.

"Why wouldn't I? You're gorgeous, sweet, have a great personality, and all this stuff. I really, really like you." At that very moment, he leaned down and kissed me, but it was on the lips. I fell into a black hole of confusion, yet I loved it. He slowly pulled back. "I like you, and only you." The bell rang and I happily wandered to the third floor for biology.

I had to make ︎Cam little younger than he really is for the story because I want the characters to be in school(:
