Cameron and I text a lot, and so do our parents. They've been dating for about 3 months or so, and I've started to get to know Drew better. He's truly a kind man, just like ︎Cam.
It's Friday and I was planning on watching a movie with my mom, but she has to run to the grocery store.
"I'll be back in about 2 hours. You can have a friend over and watch the movie, if you want." My mom told me.
"Okay, thanks. Make sure you pick up some Starbucks or something if possible." I laughed.
"What do you want?" She tilted her head.
"The usual." I replied and smiled.
"Tall Vanilla Bean Frappé?"
"You know me so well. Thanks, mom." I said.
My mom leaned down and grabbed her black, leather purse then headed out the door. I immediately whipped out my phone and texted Lexi, Ethan, and ︎Cam. Lexi and Ethan are a couple, and I thought it would be a some-what double date. Lexi wasn't at school on Thursday or today, but she feels better and said she'd come. Ethan and Cameron will be here in five minutes, so I darted to the cabinet and looked in the bottom left corner for a bag of Lays potato chips. I dumped the whole bag in a large, green bowl. I carefully placed it on the brown coffee table. The doorbell rang.
"It's open!" I hollered.
"Hey, Em!" Lexi said in a small voice. I ran up to give her a hug, but she stopped me. "I don't want to get you sick. Air hug." We giggled and air hugged. Ethan trotted in behind her, and swiped his fingers through his loose, black hair to the side.
"Hey," Ethan said and opened his arms. "how are you?"
"Good!" I replied and we embraced. Ethan and I have known each other since kindergarten and we've gone through a lot together.
"Help yourselves, just don't eat the popcorn. It's old and stale." I pointed to the top of our drawers in the kitchen and laughed. Right then, ︎Cam came up and picked me up.
"Hi, cutie." Cameron kissed my forehead.
"You scared the crap out of me!" I nudged him with my elbow.
"What movie are we going to watch?" Lexi wondered.
"Divergent." I told her. "Make yourselves at home. If you've got to use the bathroom, it's down the hall, fourth door on the right."
We all tossed ourselves on the couch, ︎Cam to my left, and Lexi to my right. I jammed the "select" button on the remote. When Beatrice goes up and decides to enter Dauntless, Cameron placed his arm around my shoulders, so I rested my head on his chest. I felt all clammy inside, but decided to go with it. Besides, I like it. After Tris jumps, I heard a kind of slobbery-slapping noise. I glanced to my right at Lexi and Ethan. Dang, they were getting it. Lexi had one leg swung over his lap and they were making out. I heard ︎Cam chuckle ever so slightly. I looked at him for a few seconds until he looked back. I peered over my shoulder at the two and bit my lip. Cameron began to stroke my hair. I looped one of my arms around his neck and jawline then sat up. He leaned I leaned, and our lips met. The way he does it- it's just stunning, really. He wrapped his arm around my lower waist and we pulled apart. Our heads were still close as we stared into each other's eyes.
"You're amazing, Emily. I'm so glad we met and I've gotten to know you." ︎Cam smiled, and my face heated up.
"Same." I giggled and we kissed. I completely ignored the movie and my friends. All I could think about was Cameron, Cameron, Cameron.
When we were done, he held me in his muscular arms.
"I've come to the conclusion that you're perfect for me... So, do you want to be my girlfriend?" ︎Cam winked.
"No." I said sarcastically then rolled my eyes. "Of course I will."
"Em, one more thing." He whispered.
"Yeah?"
"I love you."
"I love you, too." I replied as I wrapped my arms around him. I checked back in on Lexi and Ethan. My jaw hit the floor. Lexi was in her floral print crop top (which was covered by a hoodie earlier) on top of Ethan, who had his shirt off.
"Lexi!" I poked her ribs.
"Hm?" She mumbled as Ethan ran his hands up and down her back.
"My mom will be here soon and I need you guys to get your clothes back on." I was laughing so hard.
"Okay." Ethan and Lexi told me simultaneously. Ethan pulled his shirt back on and I decided to get back to the movie.

When Divergent ended, Lexi and Ethan were fully dressed and heading out the door.
"Bye guys. Thanks for coming!" I yelled after them.
"Thanks, Em! See ya!" They shot back. Lexi sprinted to my side after Ethan drove off.
"You and ︎Cam were getting it!" She shoved me and I smiled.
"Yeah, he's the one." I murmured.
Lexi went home and ︎Cam was putting on his coat.
"Thanks, Emily. I had a great time with you. Let's do this more often." He smirked.
"Whatever you say, kid." ︎Cam leaned with one arm on the wall and a leg crossed over the other. I stood under his hand while he leaned in for a last quick kiss, which I was totally fine with. After we pulled apart, my mom walked through the door with Kroger bags strung on her wrists, 5 on each side.
"Need some help?" ︎Cam offered.
"Oh, sure. The trunk and back seats are filled. Emily, you help, too." My mother commanded.
I slipped on some flip-flops and hauled in the plastic sacks of food.
"Well, I'll see you later." ︎Cam waved.
"Bye!" I quietly creaked the front door shut and clicked the lock to the left, then collapsed on my bed in a daze.

Triston woke me up at 3 am. He was screaming and crying. I went into his room and sat on the edge of his bed.
"Triston," I shook his foot softly. "it's okay. It was just a dream."
"I-I-I know! But-but a um, big wolf was chasing me through the woods." Triston gasped for air. "Right when he-he pounced on me, I w-w-w woke up." He stuttered and gripped his stuffed animal frog tightly.
"Come in my room." I whispered and carried him to my bed. I cautiously lay him down beside me on my extra pillow and yanked some sheets then my blanket over his shivering body.
"Go to sleep." I told him in a hushed tone.
