Coming Out (Kaldur x Team)

"I like girls and guys."

"We knew that already," M'gann spoke up for the rest of the team. Dick, Artemis, and Conner nodded in agreement. Kaldur furrowed his brows.

"You did?"

Artemis raised an eyebrow, "The way you looked at Roy was my giveaway."

"Or when you mumbled under your breath about hot Superman was," Conner cringed.

"I found Grindr on your phone," Dick said bluntly with his signature smirk. Everyone turned around to look at him. He shrugged, "What? I'm Nightwing. I find everything."

"Besides a sense of privacy," Artemis scoffed before turning their attention back to Kaldur. The blond rubbed his head, not knowing what to say. When he thought about coming out, he didn't think this was how it was going to go.

M'gann interrupted the awkward silence, "On Mars it's normal for us to be in straight and homosexual relationships. I accept you matter what even if that wasn't the case. You're still one of our best friends."

"Yeah, Kaldur. Nothing comes between us," Conner walked over to the Atlantan. He placed an arm over his shoulder, holding him in a sideways hug. "You're still the same man we know and love. We'll always be there for you. We'll always accept you."

Dick agreed, "Definitely." The brunet came over to Kaldur's other side and hugged him too.

Artemis was the next to speak, "We're family, Kaldur. Hell, you even killed me and I still love you." M'gann and her joined the hug. Soon enough their old team leader was stuck in a group embrace. They held it for a few minutes. While they stood like that, Kaldur only thought about how happy he was. He felt as if a giant weight was taken off his shoulders. He felt relieved to tell someone about his sexuality for the first time. First, it felt like a huge secret he was holding from himself. Then it felt like a huge secret he was holding from his best friends and family. Now he was thinking he was rather silly and should've told everyone sooner.

When they pulled out from the hug, Artemis was crying. Everyone frowned and tried to pull her in close again. They started to ask what was wrong but her response was, "Nothing. I'm hardcore PMSing and this was just too sweet." There was a paused moment of silence before they laughed at the archer. They laughed till their ribs hurt and until Artemis joined them.

When they were done, Dick said, "Let's go get some lunch. Big Belly Burger on me guys." Everyone agreed to that as they started to walk towards their cars. Kaldur's smile never left his face. He had never felt happier. He felt free from his secret. He had came out and his friends accepted him. They always would. They welcomed him back with open arms when he returned home from being undercover, which was saying a lot. And one day he would come across people who hated him for who he loved, but he knew his friends loved him no matter what.

His family loved him no matter what.

A/N: I came out in the middle of dinner at a restaurant. I just spat out, "I'm bi," and surprised my mom lol. Hope you liked this short oneshot. I needed to show some love to Kaldur.
