Alyssandra watched her son and by law, her grandson with a loving smile.
The baby made Sirius so happy, his toothless smile lighting up the whole room and making the mourning wizard, grin with glee. Her family just got a little bit bigger.
The blonde backed away reluctantly, leaving the two to themselves, Sirius laying on the ground with little Harry high in the air, balanced on the older wizard's feet and giggling madly.
She found Elijah sitting at the kitchen counter, nursing a second espresso, looking deep in thought. She swore if he wasn't a vampire, her old friend would be addicted to coffee.
"What has you so troubled, dear one? I haven't seen such an unsettled face in a thousand years." Alyssandra smiled slightly when he looked up at her, as though just gazing upon her brought comfort.
"Have I made the right decision, Alyss? You have found peace with a family of your own. What if Niklaus were to come to Mystic Falls and ruin all of that for you? I would never be able to rid myself of that guilt. To forget such a misdeed against you would be impossible." His face was solemn, almost already feeling guilty as the thought of destroying his closest friend's family, bounced around in his head.
The blonde smiled kindly, "Oh Lijah, I trust Nik, just as much as I trust you. I do think that when he sees me, he might not believe it is me and it's just some trick. But I know I'll be able to change his mind. As for my family..."
Elijah studied her face as a mischievous smirk curled her lips, "I have full confidence that Sirius will be able to take care of himself and that baby."
"But you said-"
Alyssandra held out a hand, silencing him, "I know what I said, dear one. My words will push him to convince me wrong. That he can indeed look after young Harry like I know he can."
The Mikaelson smiled slightly and shook his head, gaze falling to his now empty cup, "I told you, did I not? You make a wonderful mother."

Klaus was intrigued.
Rarely was his brother ruffled. Very rarely.
So hearing the slight tremor in Elijah's voice was both amusing and entertaining. Who was this woman to have stirred such a reaction? Why was she so important and why did the known to be 'Noble' Mikaelson seem so anxious for him to meet her?
He'd have to be careful though.
Yes, Elijah had given his word, but after one mindless utterance because of a brief snap of anger, his brother's word meant diddly squat.
The blond looked between his car and the painting he was working on. A certain portrait of a woman long since passed.
His brother probably didn't give him enough credit, to be honest. He was intelligent when he needed to be.
The Mikaelson had discovered centuries ago that the blonde woman, who looked so much like him and had appeared in their small village when he was seven years old, was his older sister.
Klaus had found a few strands of her hair in her cottage when they were still human, slightly suspicious of his well thought out assumption. He'd forgotten about them until he found them again, stashed in one of his satchels.
Took another few decades to find a witch who would actually do the spell for him.
It was almost heartbreaking to learn the truth.
A sister from his real father, killed because they'd lost control and razed their village to the ground.
Klaus may have lost control for a few days and obliterated another few small towns... don't tell Elijah.

Sirius had put Harry in a small cot that he'd transfigured from a couch cushion and wandered to the kitchen where he knew his mother and his uncle were. A name of affection, Sirius knew that Elijah wasn't really his uncle.
He was right of course, he always is, as Alyssandra was leaning against the bench while Elijah sat at the kitchen counter, nursing yet another espresso.
Being a mama's boy, shut up, the wizard shuffled over to wrap his arms around her waist like he did when he was younger. Sirius didn't have to look up to know that his mum was smiled down at him, threading her fingers through his black curls.
"I told you what was happening with me, Ma. Now you gotta tell me what's happening with you."
The wizard felt his mother take in a deep breath, then let it out in a long drawn out sigh, "I found a way to break my brother's curse-"
"Uncle Nik?"
"Yes. When I break it, he and I will hunt down Mikael-"
"The guy that's trying kill you and your siblings?" Sirius interrupted again, this time looking at Elijah, who nodded once.
"Siri."
"Sorry, Ma."
Alyss shook her head with a faint, amused smile, "We shall release the rest of the Mikaelsons, I will tell Nik the truth and then together we shall hunt down this Peter who betrayed you and your friends and as promised I shall present you with his severed head on a silver platter. Unless you want gold of course..."
The Talisman Original's voice deepened as her obvious hate for the small wizard made itself known.
Elijah would have pitied the poor man, knowing the fury and rage that his oldest friend could bring down upon someone, especially since she was Niklaus's older sister, but he had gone against the family.
Therefore he would pay.
