Elijah smirked as the coins he collected from the guitarist's case, shattered the cafe window, making all those inside scatter like a flock of startled birds. He was gone before the arrogant vampire who had staked him against the wall with a coat rack, could look up.
The Mikaelson vamp sped to his car and as he drove back to Alyssandra's house, his mind drifted to the young man Alyss had introduced him to and remembered how he was oddly flattered when Sirius had called him Uncle Lijah, to which his mother had not corrected. He was in awe that even amidst his time of mourning his best friends and his blood thirsting need for revenge, the blonde's son still managed to crack a joke and make him smile.
Alyss used to do that too when they were human.
The older Mikaelson looked down at his phone, thumb hovering over a certain contact number, as he got out of his car and stopped at the front door of Alyss's... house.
Could he even call it that?
It was huge and luxurious like a mansion, but so warm, humble and homely inside. It was beautiful. A true home. Everything that Elijah could ever want for his siblings was right here. With the one person that they had all yearned for.
He walked through the door and gave his hostess a meaningful look. Alyss nodded and passed the spoon and small bowl to Sirius before following the Mikaelson to the lounge room.
He still had his phone in his hand, but Alyssandra could understand his hesitancy.
She took his hand and used her fingers to help him press on the number. The phone was on loudspeaker and it was answered on the third ring.
'Well, isn't this a surprise? A phone call from my dear older brother. What could I have possibly done to be awarded such a thing?' The sarcasm made Alyss roll her eyes.
"Nothing, Niklaus. You have done nothing to warrant such-" Elijah's growing irritation was interrupted by the blonde's narrowed gaze, "Excuse me, I have knowledge of two things you might be interested in, Klaus."
'Oh? And how do I know it's not all just a ploy to trap and... attempt... to kill me?'
"I give you my word, brother."
Silence filled the room for a few minutes, the only sound being the two heartbeats coming from the kitchen.
'What are these two things, Elijah that have you so wound up?' The jovial and sarcastic tone of Klaus's voice was gone, being replaced a certain sternness and severity.
"I've found the doppelgänger, for one."
A deep inhale of breath, then a slight chuckle, 'Oh, really? And the other?'
"I believe she might want to tell you herself when you get here."
Alyss smirked at Elijah's words. He was daring his brother to come and see who this mystery was, it being her.
'Now, now, brother, you know I don't like surprises. Tell me.' A hint of annoyance.
But the older Mikaelson smirked, "I think not, Niklaus. I'm in Mystic Falls," and he hung up.
"You cheeky thing." Alyssandra chuckled, punching Elijah softly on the arm.

Klaus stared at his phone, slightly miffed at his brother for hanging up on him. He wondered who the other person was. Elijah has used female pronouns so it was a her...
A smirk spread across his stubble face as his thoughts drifted towards the doppelgänger. Oh how perfect that she was in Mystic Falls! The irony!
He loved it.

"Who was that, Ma?"
"I'll tell you who it was when you tell me what has been happening in Britain." The Talisman vampire sat across from him at the counter in the kitchen, while Elijah made himself an espresso.
Because all classy men love espressos.
Sirius's shoulders drooped before his eyes roamed Harry's filthy, orange face, "There was a war raging on in the Wizarding World. And there was a prophecy that Harry somehow had the power to defeat the dark lord, who was the leader of the death eaters that were fucking up the whole of Britain-"
"Language, my love." Alyss admonished softly, to which she received a light humoured shove from Elijah behind her.
The young wizard sent a smirk the Mikaelson's way, who in returned winked.
"The guy, Voldemort is his name, didn't like that and decided to kill Harry. James and Lily would never let that happen, so they had to... die... too." The Black's voice dropped off into a hurt whisper.
Alyss was just about to hug her son when suddenly,
"Pa'foo'."
Sirius's silver eyes shot up to look at his godson, who had his head tilted and a frown on his carrot stained face. A shocked laugh rocked through his body before he launched himself at the child and swung him around in the air, "That's right! I'm your Padfoot! Say it again, come on, Pup!! Say Padfoot!"
The blonde watched with a soft smile as she clutched her hands to her chest.
The best way to handle a mourning wizard?
Throw a baby at them.
