Inspired by the song, 'Better Than Her' by Matisse feat. Akon

"Barry, why the hell did you drag me here?" Iris, his girlfriend, asked as she looked over at the house glowing in the night as a party unfolded. "I told you I hate parties," she whined as she crossed her arms.

He chuckled at her and kissed her cheek, "Lighten up Iris, we need a little fun in our lives. We'll just be here for an hour, humor me please," he begged as he gave her a puppy dog face.

She giggled and rolled her eyes at his childish ways before nodding her head, "Yeah, I guess your right. What harm can a little party do," she smiled and they entered the house.

As they entered the house, the party was in full swing with club lights flashing in the living room as people danced to the beat of the DJ's music, silly string and streamers hanging off the walls and on the floor, and a crowd hanging by the kitchen with drinks in their hands. For Barry, he was looking for a specific person and frowned when he didn't see her.

Iris tugged on his arm to get his attention, "Let's get something to drink." He nodded his head as they walked over to the kitchen.

"Hey! I thought you weren't coming!" Oliver shouted as he spotted Barry. He walked over to him as they greeted each other with a smile and manly hug. "I'm happy to see you guys,"

"I couldn't blow off the biggest party of the summer!" Barry smiled. "What you got to drink?"

Oliver smirked, "Follow me, I'll show you."

Barry turned to Iris, "Wait here, I'll be right back." She smiled and nodded her head. He followed his friend to some coolers outside that contained beers and sodas. "I see you got the good stuff," he chuckled.

"Oh yeah, it's not a party without the proper drinks," Oliver chuckled. "I wasn't expecting you to bring Iris tonight."

Barry sighed and rubbed the back of his neck, "Yeah, I felt bad leaving her behind."

Oliver smirked, "But not bad enough to tell her your real reason for being here." He watched as Barry choked on air and laughed. "Dude, I've know you for years. I know you're only here because you heard a rumor that a certain someone was coming tonight."

"Is she here yet?" Barry dared asked.

"Snow?" He asked with arched eyebrows. "Oh yeah, last I saw her she was dancing with Ronnie," he smirked as he took a sip of his beer.

Barry clenched his teeth, "I need to get back to Iris," he growled and walked back into the house. As he found Iris, he realized she was talking with the girl behind his reason for being here. "Hey, wasn't expecting you to be here," he grinned as he walked up to the women.

Caitlin smiled, "It's a party Allen, of course, I would be here. The real question is why are you here?"

He was about to speak when Iris butted in, "He claimed we needed a little fun in our lives," she giggled with an eye roll.

Caitlin laughed along, "Well, he's right!" she looked at him, "Come on, dance with me," she asked him then turned to Iris. "Mind if I steal him for a bit?"

Barry held his breath, as excitement and fear filled his body as he waited for Iris' reply. She nodded at them both but, Caitlin's attention shifted when her name was called by Hunter. "Yo Snow! We need you over here!"

She gave him an apologetic smile, "Sorry, I owe you a dance," and she walked towards a group of guys. Barry watched Hunter smile at her as he wrapped his arms around her waist. Jealously filled his face.

"Barry, you okay?" Iris asked as she saw his features change. He mumbled under his breath and looked to where he was looking. "She's a big girl, Barr. I'm pretty sure she can take care of herself. Can we dance?"
