The Meal Plan

Chapter 10

Hey folks,

Guess what? This is the 10th chapter of 'The Meal Plan'. When I started writing this story, I wasn't even sure that I will continue writing it. But thanks to you guys for motivating me to write more and more each day :)

You guys rock! I love you all...

This chapter is a bit longer than the last one. I haven't edited it. So, please forgive any grammatical or spelling errors.

“I was just saying. Roxy has a good reason to hate you” Aaron said, uncomfortably.

“I know. I found you and her in the janitor’s closet, making out and I-’’

“Neveah, I know what you saw in the closet. You saw your best friend’s girlfriend kissing a dude and you told him what you saw. You wanted to protect your best friend and the fact that you were blindly in love with him made you deliver the news to him before we could give you an explanation”

“Aaron, she was cheating on Sean with you. I had to tell him. I was his friend. At that time, he was someone I cared about”

“No, he cheated on her”

“Oh, come on! Seriously? Do you think that I am really that thick? I saw you two with my own eyes  and now, you’re playing the blame game? Really? I don’t think I’ll buy that thin-”

“Neveah, Sean is a bastard who can lie to someone without batting an eyelid!” Aaron cut me off mid-sentence. “You don’t know our side of the story”

“Okay…” I trailed. Aaron looked pissed because I didn’t believe him but at the same time, he had this look on his face that said he was telling the truth.

“I knew Roxy since middle school. I was happy beyond words when I learned that she was going to attend the same high school I do. I wanted to ask her out and I was hundred percent sure that we were going to end up together. But then, Sean happened” Aaron took a deep breath and continued. “She was in all my classes and we became friends. One day, I let everything out and told her how much I loved her. She decided to stay with Sean because she didn’t want to break his heart. Then, few days later, she found him in bed with Mia”

I was too shocked to say anything.

“She confronted Sean and he told her that he cheated on her because she sucked in bed. I found her crying alone in the closet. I was trying to calm her down and we ended up kissing. That’s when you found us”

“I didn’t know…” I gulped.

“I know, Neveah. No one did. Sean ruined Roxy’s reputation beyond repair by spreading rumors and lies which included the story of her cheating on him. He had you as an eyewitness to his story”

I stared at him silently.

“Roxy had a hard time coping with it. People were calling her names and she was treated like shit. These rumors also reached her parents. Her family is very conservative. She had to face the stigma of something she didn’t do. She had to deal with a lot of stuff, Neveah”
