Chapter 21 - Stella

AUDRIANNA

After my confrontation with Ace, I texted my friends. I told them I'm going home and I also told them to come up with an excuse when profs ask for me.

I called for a taxi and went home. Mama was surprised when she saw me walking inside the house.

"Jusko, Anna!" Mama exclaimed. "Ang aga mo naman umuwi!" she added.

I gave her a faint smile. "May masakit lang po sakin, Mama. I'm fine," I answered.

"Nag-commute ka? Taxi? Sana naman tumawag ka dito sa bahay para nasundo ka ng driver mo," Mama said.

"Mama, it's okay. Nag-taxi po ako," I said. "I'm just gonna go to my room to rest po," paalam ko and I went upstairs.

"Anna, ipagdadala kita ng pagkain mamaya," Mama shouted.

Dumiretso lang ako sa kwarto ko. I changed my clothes into my pajamas and I went to my bed to sleep.

Few moments of trying myself to sleep, Mama went inside to my room holding a tray with foods in it. I sat down and rest my back to the headboard of my bed.

"Nagluto ako ng soup para sayo. May cupcakes din at gatas for you," Mama said.

I placed the tray in my bed and I started eating. "Mama, do you think it's a right thing to do na mag-cool off muna po kami ni Ace to focus and realise some things?" I asked as I took a bite on the cupcake.

Mama sat on the edge of my bed. "It's a right thing to do if you think that your relationship is not healthy anymore pero sana matuto pa rin mag-usap tungkol sa relasyon niyo para maintindihan ang side ng isa't isa," she said. "Bakit, cool off kayo ni Ace?" she asked.

I sighed. "Yes and I just hope that he would understand my decision kasi this is for us, eh. For our relationship." I said and drink my milk.

Mama smiled at me. "Kung mahal ka ni Ace kahit ano ang desisyon mo maiintindihan ka niya. If not, then atleast let him understand you and eventually, he will," she said.

"Thank you, Mama," I smiled at her.

"Get well, Anna," Mama stood up at kinuha na ang pinagkainan ko. "Cool off lang, walang maghihiwalay," she said before she walks out and closed my door.

I sighed heavily at humiga nalang sa kama. I stared at the ceiling thinking what will happen to Ace and I next. I just sighed and stared at the ceiling until I doze off to sleep.

Nagising ako sa tunog ng phone ko. I grabbed my phone with my one-eye closed and answered the call.

"Hello? Who is this?" I said when I answered the phone. I don't even know who's calling.

"Audrianna, this is Allana. I'm sorry, did I wake you up? Are you sleeping?" Allana asked.

Umupo ako sa kama ko. "No.. it's fine. Why did you call? And.." napatingin ako sa wall clock. It's 9 in the evening! I fell asleep for hours. "Classes are done?" I asked.

"Yup, classes done. Adie is driving the car and Eunice is with me in the backseat," Allana said.

I furrowed my eyebrows. "What? Sleepover?" I asked.

I heard Allana giggled. "No.. pero, pwede din? PUAHAHAHA!" she laughed. What the hell is with this weirdo?

"What the fuck? Are you guys drunk?" I asked.
