Chapter 18 - A

AUDRIANNA

It's 3:30 in the morning and I'm about to finish packing my clothes that I'll be needing in Japan. Oh, today is Saturday and it's the birthday celebration of Ace and Amethyst also Amethyst's birthday.

I heard a knock on my door. "Come in!" I said at bumukas ang pinto ng kwarto ko at niluwal 'non ay si Mama na naka-pajama pa. "Hey, Mom," I said while putting my luggage beside my bed.

"Are you really going?" Mama asked, sad and almost tearing up.

"Ma, I would be gone for just two days! You're so dramatic!" I said and rolled my eyes. Yes, dalawang araw daw kaming magi-stay sa Japan. Maybe, to stroll around the country since it's my first time there.

"Darling.. you don't know how much I'm worried even by just thinking you are miles away from us. I just can't stay calm about it," Mama said.

"Ma, I assure you I will be fine there. I have my friends and so is their family," I said and hugs my dramatic mother.

"Bakit kasi ikaw lang ang invited? Your father and I should be invited too," Mama said.

"They are strict, Ma. Knowing they've been involved in many issues since before they're protecting themselves and maybe ayaw na nila ng panibagong eskandalo sa pamilya nila," I said. "They are influential people and they don't want another dirt on their name," I added.

Mama sighed. "Alright, darling.. You promise you'll behave and be good?" she asked.

"I promise, Mama. Don't worry about me," I said, assuringly.

Pagkatapos ng usapan namin ni Mama agad akong umalis at nagpa-hatid nalang sa driver namin papunta sa airport. Habang nasa byahe ay binuksan ko ang phone ko at nagchat sa groupchat.

Audrianna: Are you guys up?

My phone immediately beep and the messages from the groupchat is starting to be active.

Adieraine: Nandito na ako sa airport. It's so boring out here.

Allana: Such an early bird. Why don't you go inside the plane already?

Adieraine: Bawal pa nga. Magkakaroon daw ng countings. So boring.

Eunice: Malapit na ako. Hbu?

Allana: Malapit na rin, nag-stop lang ako sa starbucks to buy coffee. Audrianna?

Audrianna: I guess, malapit na ako. See you, guys.

Sinulyapan ko saglit ang driver ko. "Kuya, kung may malapit na coffee shop paki-park po muna doon. I'm gonna buy something," I said.

I saw my driver nodded. "Yes, Miss." He answered.

Ganun nga ang ginawa niya. My driver parked the car in the coffee shop near the airport. Bumaba agad ako at pumasok sa coffee shop to order foods.

I opened my phone and sent a message to our groupchat.

Audrianna: Guys, I'm in the coffee shop. Do you guys want me to buy you something?

I received a reply from my friends.

Allana: No. There's a food chains here so we're good.

Eunice: Wala na akong papabili, Audri. May baon ako.

Adieraine: Ako! I want a blueberry muffin. I went to a coffee shop here, there's no blueberry muffins. Can you atleast buy me, Audrianna? One muffin is fine with me.
