CHAPTER 22 - THE COMEBACK

Audrianna's POV

Here, inside Ace's car. He's so focus on driving that he didn't look at me ever since we went out the bar. We didn't talk about what happened back at the bar.

I fake coughed to get his attention. "Uhm..." I mumbled.

"You got anything to say?" Ace asked.

"No. No. I mean, I got nothing to say.. It's just the atmosphere is so awkward." I said, looking away.

"Okay.." Ace said and focused on driving. I just scoff and look out in the window. "What did she said to you?" Ace asked, after minutes of silence.

I looked at him, confused. "Huh? Who?" I asked.

"Stella." Ace said. "What did Stella told you back there?" Ace asked.

"Uh.. nothing. Nonsense stuffs.." I answered as I look away.

"Really, like what?" Ace asked.

"Random nonsense stuffs that I don't really understand," I said.

"Stop lying. I know you," Ace said, firmly as he turns the steering wheel.

I sighed heavily. "Fine. Stella told me you and her are engaged to each other. She was telling me that on my face, full of confidence.." I bursted. "She knows we broke up. Ace! That's why she got the guts!"

Ace stopped the car infront of our house. He looks at me with his dark face. "Broke up? Did we?" He asked.

"Yes, aren't we?" I asked back.

"Audrianna, for fuck's sake! We didn't broke up. You only asked for space. I gave it to you. We didn't broke up!" Ace said, fuming mad.

"Cool off, really? So, for how long is this bullshit, Alas? Until we realized we can't handle this relationship anymore, is that it?" I said, sarcastically.

"So, that's it. You're ending us now?" Ace asked.

I opened the car door. "Leave me alone so I can think. I feel suffocated with you," I said as I got out of his car.

Ace scoffs. "Fuck, are you even real? You're just drunk and spitting nonsense," Ace said, calmly.

"I don't want to talk about this! Give me a break!" I said as I slammed the car door shut." I run inside the house and went straightly to my bedroom. I didn't greet my parents that I don't know if they're home already.

I took a half bath to calm myself. I also brushed my teeth and did my night routine. I wore my silk pajamas. I opened my phone and texted my friends.

Audrianna: I'm home. Safe.

Adieraine: That's good. What happened? Ace is here. He's arguing with Stella. He looks mad.

Allana: Adie, that's TMI, bitch!

Eunice: The important thing is Audrianna is home safely.

Audrianna: I'm gonna sleep. Good night.

I turned off my phone and watched Netflix series. I'm here at home, early while my friends are probably having fun in the club. I heard knocks on my door and I sighed.

I stood up and opened the door, only to see Mama holding a tray with my snacks in it. She smiled at me. "Your dad asked me to bring you snacks here.." she said.
