Chapter 11

Iduna POV💨

I went to the entrance of the forest, still the same old mist blocking it, wearing my northuldra clothes, it's been a year since I wore them and the same old feeling, warmth from gale.

I crouch down and touched the mist slightly, it feels cold as the moon is high up the sky.

Mother, father, grandpada and gale, I just turned sixteen today, look at how big I have grow, the clothes will soon be too small for me so I will treasure this moment, but I lost what mama have sewed just for me, the purple scarf.

I lied down and admired the shimmering moon glancing at me like I was its mirror.

I woke up to the scent of lavender, it was in the middle of the night, getting colder I decided to return back.

It's coming from Ms Mane cottage, lavender smell that is even stronger than the ones in the forest, I wonder how ms mane does it.

I went back to her house and climbed into her backyard finding lavenders are placed everywhere, I struggled to get out of them and climbed back up to my room. To my surprise someone is sleeping there.

He ran towards me and pulled me in, I then realised it is Agnarr. Why is he here? Did he recognise me yet? I shouldn't have came back so late.

I tried to back out but he said "Thank you for saving me that day!"

I got startled by his comment, but I realised that he isn't fully awake.

And without realising he is still pulling me in, I just got in with his last forceful pull. When did he get so strong? Did he hide his strength from me the whole time?

Back to what I need to do, to knock out Agnarr. He can't know that I am northuldra, not now, not this time.

I shoved him on the bed and quickly sprinkle some lavender powder that would make one sleep instantly. And it worked, I would have to thank Ms Mane for that.

I quickly changed to my arendelle clothes finishing off with the bun and quietly exited the room.

Unfortunately, Kai is guard in the room outside and he suddenly woke up and stumbling on himself as he saw me.

"My apologise Iduna, his majesty is just too tired so he accidentally went into your room, I will make sure he moves-"

"It's ok, it seems like he is too tired." I didn't want anyone entering, I then went down to the couch and slept there.

Agnarr POV🌊

It's the voice! What did it do to me? I felt dizzy when I got up. When u woke up it's already day. And looked around, it's real! Am I hallucinating? Or it's just a dream?

I smell lavender all around me, where did it come from? I went down the stairs and saw everyone gathered at the dining table.

Kai and the others are acting very strangely, staring at me like they want to convey something.

"What are you doing here?" frowned Iduna as she turned her chair with her leg crossed.

Iduna birthday surprise, how could I forgot about that! Now it's all ruin.

I could see Ms Mane chuckling from afar while she is cooking, and the others are just looking guilty by staring downwards.

"I am the king I can go anywhere!" I got my confidence up, it was true but it doesn't feel good using it in front of Iduna.

"Anywhere huh? Even barge into a lady room?"

It took me moments to realised what I did, and looking at her smirking back to me seeing how the tables turned.

"I am sorry! I didn't mean to do it!" I tried to defend myself as she walk towards me with a lady like manner she have never shown often before, I felt goosebumps from it, it wasn't nice.

"Of course I know that! We are best friends so I wouldn't mind, but do tell me when you want to come and sleep." she hangs her hand around my neck which made me tense up.

"Wait I don't mean that way-" I said in denial.

"Stop blushing geez agnarr, not in that way duh, I was just joking with you." She teased.

Thank God she said that or else I would be guilty for my whole life.

"So I presume that you are here today because for my birthday?" she said.

I nodded but sigh in the end, I wanted it to be a surprise. I smell meatballs, tomato meatballs!

Ms Mane puts down a pot on the table while signalling everyone to eat. I ran towards and sat before anyone else did, I then started scooping out some onto my bowl and started munching on them.

Kai then coughed, implying that I sure eat properly.

"Can we make a exception today?"

"No can't do your majesty, rules still apply outside of the castle." As Kai gave me a handkerchief.

I pouted as I wiped my mouth, a king is still a king whenever he goes.

After breakfast Iduna brought us around the town but without revealing our identity, but still some recognize me. And that some soon turned to the whole town. So every minute someone would be curtsying or bowing to me.

I kind of got used to it, that what my father and uncle always told me, once you're a king, everything will change from the lifestyle, the change of formalities name from your highness to your majesty, the expectations and many more.

Iduna on the other hand life also changed, because of me she always got labeled the 'future queen' and to be honest, I wanted it to happen.

Ever since she step into my life i got a liking towards her, her kindness and bubbly personality, I don't think any girl would have this kind of mix personality as due to the current society, that girls should be proper.

Maybe I haven't grasp on the concept of marriage yet, but I don't mind letting her being my partner for the next half of my lifetime.

However, I didn't have the courage to tell her, after all we are still adolescent, we could maybe discuss about it when we are older.

Anyways she doesn't look like she minds at all, which kind of sadden me, I always thought we would have that connection.

"Now it like you are having you birthday instead of me." Iduna said.

It makes me even more ashamed, ever since I came nothing good happened to her.

"Why not I bring you to the meadow?" she suggested.

Grete exclaimed I am sure that she would be happy to see it, come to think of it they have been stuck in the castle for so long just to serve me, thinking about it makes me seem like a bad king, maybe I should do something good for them.

Everyone is awaiting for my answer as they stare at me with hope of saying yes, I nodded and they pulled me as they describe about how beautiful the meadow would be.
