Chapter 8

Iduna POV💨

I got pulled in by a lady, she doesn't look like she is from here.

"Oh dear how did you get hurt?"

Wait is that?

"Ms Mane is that you?!"

"Yes darling." She took of her hood and opened her hands widely.

I immediately hugged her, I can't believe someone I knew appears infront of me.

"Who is she Iduna?" Someone behind me said.

"Let me introduce myself your majesty, I used to work here as a head staff, and I am also Iduna aunt." Ms mane bowed.

She once worked here? I didn't expected that.

"Ms mane? Ms Marilyn Mane? I remember my father said that you babysit me till I was 5 and then you retired." Agnarr scratches his head while replying shyly.

"That me, can't believe that chubby boy have grown so much." exclaimed Ms mane as she pinched his cheeks.

She knows agnarr, I have a feeling she is hiding something from me, why didn't she reveal it to me before I went to arendelle? Maybe she doesn't trust me enough, but why did she help me by letting me go here? There are some more unanswered doubts I need to know.

I saw Ms mane hugging Aunt Emilie before coming to me and cleaning the wound by taking a cloth and bandage it.

"Oh I am hungry from travelling so far, shall we eat." She joyous said as everyone agreed.

When we are eating, my thoughts were all about Ms mane, I know that I have no rights to be mad at her. Is she purposely hiding it from me? I shouldn't feel this way as she helped me so much even though she doesn't have to....

"Hey? Are you ok?" Agnarr nudged me.

"Yeah I am fine just missing my parents." I lied.

After lunch Ms Mane asked for private time. When she locked my room, I feel coldness, the windows weren't shut and the icy cold wind enters my room.

"Iduna why don't you close the windows?"

"Are you hiding something from me?" I ignored her without hesitation.

"You are one smart girl aren't you." she smirked.

"So you admitted, I know I shouldn't be saying this but do you not trust me?" I spat it out, I felt bad but I couldn't control my emotions.

"Of course not darling why would you think that way?" she sat on my bed while taking off her coat.

"Because of the things you're hiding me."

"I have to-"

"Like how you didn't tell me you work in the castle before, you should have know Duke Lukas before." I cut her off.

"That why he believed you, and why did you send me into arendelle? I don't think it benefits you in any way unless... You wanted to protect the forest? But why? Don't tell me you're a-"

"Northuldra you were trying to say my dear? And B-I-N-G-O the answer is correct."

"How? I have never seen you in the forest before."

"How about me telling my story so that you can get things......"

Ms mane story coming right up in future chapters!

I get it, that why I have a strong feeling towards her, how I tense up and got mad at her. Because we are northuldra where everyone is part of the family.

The whole room got warmer, I realized she went to shut the windows, just like how I am feeling right now.

"Oh how is your stay at arendelle, I haven't heard from you since the day you left."

"I didn't really know how to contact you, and I was quite fearful that the secret would be out, you don't know how many times I almost revealed my identity."

Ms mane sighed and I continued.

"I didn't really find anything useful about ways to clear the mist yet, but I am sure there would be something in the library hidden-"

"Don't stress yourself that much, remember you are still a child." She pats my head.

It's true, but it's my home that I am forsaking.

"Do you think I would have to stay here for a long time." I asked her.

"That is something I don't know, but until then enjoy your time here."

I did enjoy the time here, arendelle isn't that bad as I thought, but it isn't my home.

"But I miss the forest..." as I lay on her lap while she caress my face.

"The forest will always be in your heart no matter where you go."

I quickly dozed off, thinking about how I would be playing with gale very soon and how I would be playing with Agnarr with my true identity in the forest.

Everyone is playing joyously, arendelle and northuldra bonding together with the spirits enjoying their company, it just feel so real that I believed everything was really happening.

Agnarr POV🌊

I was knitting socks with my uncle and the staffs when Ms Mane came but there is no sight of iduna.

"That girl just fell asleep, she sure got too excited in the morning." She smiled towards me.

"I see, I wanted her to knit with us, her knitting skill is sure without a doubt good." I sighed.

"She got all from me, let me show you what is professional." she proudly said and took up a bundle of yarn and the knitting sticks.

After two hour of knitting, she showed her pair of intricated socks designed with arendelle sign on it to us.

"It's beautiful." as Ella admired it.

"Definitely." Grete held it up with astonishment.

As I looked at mine, it's not the best but I did it with my utmost effort.

Duke Lukas chuckled at my poorly done work and ruffled my hair, "How about more practice king?"

"No thanks, I have been poked by the sharp edges of the knitting sticks and now my fingers redden."

I looked at the grandfather clock, it's half past three so maybe is time to make some gingerbread cookies.

I decided to call Iduna out to do this segment with us, she should have plenty of sleep now.

I went to her room while the others went to the kitchen first.

I knocked on her door, and no reply was given, maybe she didn't heard it so I knocked again with more force but still same result.

Should I just go in? Or should I wait outside, but everyone is waiting. But it would be impolite to enter a lady room without her permission, why am I thinking about this, I am her friend so I can go in.

The door just open and I fall into her room, and shuts close after I enter.

What just happened, did the door just helped me make a decision? I heard snoring and mumbling coming from the bed as I step closely to it.

"Gale I missed you..."

Who is Gale? Is it another citizen she met today? Wait how is she missing someone she just met a few month ago, is there something I didn't know?

"Hey Agnarr? Why are you here?"
