Jessie's dress

Jessie's POV
Me and Dally are in my room and I'm packing my bag. School starts tomorrow, which means I won't be able to see Dally for most of the day. The bruises and cuts from my jumping are all healed, and I got my stitches out last week, now there's just a huge scar. I hate it but Dally thinks it's hot. All I know is changing in the locker room at swim practice should be interesting. I was in my room changing because it was so hot, so I put on a tight tank top and some jean shorts. Just as I finished putting my top on my door opened and Steave came in. "Oh geez sorry Jess. Jesus, now that's a scar!" I blush and look at the floor. "Let me see?" "Ok." I lifted up my shirt to just below my bra revealing the scar. "God," he whispered. "Bad right." "Yeah, kinda sexy though," he muttered. "What," I say surprised. Instead of answering, he begins to trace my scar with his finger. My breath hitched, and my heart caught in my throat. I stayed like that for about two seconds. Then I came to my senses and grabbed his wrist putting his hand down. "Ok what was that?" "Nothing," he replied, "I just feel bad for you that's all." Then he turned and walked out of the room. I shivered and went to find Dally. I find him in the living room watching Tv. I walk over and plop down on his lap. He smiles and wraps his arms around me. "So what do you want to do today baby?" "Can we go swimming," I asked? He nodded. "Ok let me go change," I say going back to my room. "Hey, what are you doing," he asks? "I'm changing into my swimsuit." "You don't need a swimsuit, you have one under your clothes, we've had this conversation so many times." "Have you ever seen me in an actual swimsuit," I asked? "No, I guess not," he replied. "Well then I'll go put on my swimsuit and if you don't like it, then I'll take it off, ok?" Fine," he says annoyed. I walked into my room and took out my favorite bikini, it's dark blue with white stars all over it. I slipped my shorts and shirt back on cause I don't want Dal to see it yet. I walked back to the living room and went to get my shoes. "So where is it," he asks? " "Not until we get to the lake," I replied. He sighs and follows me. We got in the car and headed to our lake.
When we got there, I had barely stepped out of the car when he grabbed my hand and said "ok, now let me see," he begged. "Fine, fine," I relented. I walked over to the wharf and took my shirt and shorts off. I turn around and Dals eyes are wide and he has a smirk on his face. "Well, what do you think?" "I don't like it," he says. I frown and say "Ok I won't wear it again." I don't like it, I love it," he smiles, wrapping his arms around my waist. I grin and hug him. "Good now come on, let's get in," I laughed running towards the water. As soon as I hit the cold water, I immediately relaxed. I float on my back and stare up at the bright blue sky. Suddenly I feel myself being lifted up, and then I'm on Dally's shoulders. I smiled down at him and ruffled his hair. He laughs, then without warning he leans backward so I tip off his back with a splash! I resurface laughing splashing him. For the next hour I forgot about my problems, and just messed around with my boyfriend. It was great.
When we get home Darry's cooking dinner, Pony's reading, and Soda and Johnny are playing cards. "Hey Darry, what's for dinner," I ask? "Spaghetti and meatballs," he replies. I grin and run upstairs to change. I changed into black pajama shorts and a soft pink tank top. I walk downstairs and sniff the air, And it smells amazing. Darry is a great cook. We all sit together and have dinner and for the first time in a long time I'm perfectly happy.
I woke up the next morning groaning quietly as pain shot down my side. I rolled over and glanced at my alarm clock.. I groaned again, it's 6:30 which means I have to get up for my first day of grade 11. I rolled out of bed and walked over to my dresser to get dressed, I heard a groan from behind me and turned to see Dally with his eyes closed reaching out in front of him. I chuckled. "Jessie where are you," he whined? I laughed again and leaned over to kiss his cheek. "Sorry baby I have to go. I have school today." He opened his eyes and sat up "ok, ok " he muttered. I laughed at his crazy hair and tiered expression. I walked over to my closet and pulled out my pink dress with the flowers all over it. I slipped off Dally's shirt and his eyes widened. I giggled. "Turn around," I say smiling. "Why, it's not like I haven't seen it before," he replies with a smirk. "Dally turn around!" "Fine, fine," he says turning around and flopping face first into the pillows. I laughed and quickly changed into my dress, with lacy black undergarments underneath. "Ok you can turn around now," I say. Dally flips over and smirks. "Damn your beautiful." I blushed and started at the floor. I turned and put on light make-up and some earrings. I also put on some brown ankle boots, completing my outfit. "So how do I look," I asked twirling around? Dally stood up and walked over to me, putting his arms around my waist. "Gorgeous," he whispers, then he kisses me making me smile. I walk downstairs and see Pony eating breakfast, I walk over and ruffle his hair. He swats my hand away, and turns to look at me. "Well don't you look pretty," he says giving me a side hug. I smile and sit down pouring myself some cereal. After breakfast me, Poney, Two Bit, and Dally hop in Dally's car and head to school. Dally's not in school he's just driving us. When we get there I get out and lean through the window giving Dally a long passionate kiss. "Have a good day baby, I'll be here to pick you up later ok," he says after we pull away. "Ok," I say pecking his cheek, then I turn and walk towards the school. I turn and wave at Dally as he drives away. He waves back.
As soon as I walk up the stairs to the entrance I notice a few boys staring at me. I'm considered pretty and even though everyone knows I'm dating Dallas Winston some of them still flirt with me but I never flirt back. I was almost at the door when I noticed Bob Sheldon and his group staring at me. I looked away and held my head high, I may be terrified of him now, but I wasn't going to let him know that. When I finally made it inside I walked straight to my locker without looking back.
Surprisingly my first three periods went really fast and pretty soon it was lunch time. I walked into the cafeteria and sat at a table by myself. I usually sit with Pony and Two Bit or go out with Dally, but Pony has track practice, Two piped off and Dally's busy so here I am. I was just sitting there peacefully eating and reading my book when a group of Soc girls and their boyfriends came over and crowded around my table. I rolled my eyes, these were the girls who had their boyfriends beat up people they don't like. There fake and dumb, and anyone who has eyes can tell I hate them.
"Hey Jess," Chole the leader says with a sickenly sweet smile.
I took a deep breath and looked her in the eye, "hello Chole," I replied coolly.
"So where are all your greaser friends," she asks with a disgusted look on her face?
"Elsewhere," I reply with a glare.
"I got that, so that means one thing, you're a loser who's all alone."
I glare harder.
"So tell me how does it feel to be such a loser?"
All her friends snickered, I just glared silently.
"Answer me," she said forcefully, grabbing me, her nails digging into my arm. I'm so not in the mood for this so I shoved her hand away. "Don't touch me," I say angrily! "Hey don't touch my girlfriend," her boyfriend whose name I have forgotten yelled. "I bet you wish you had a boyfriend to defend you, but guess what you don't. I mean seriously who would want to date you," she says, smirking, thinking this is making me sad or something. I was about to tell me to shut the hell up when someone clears their throat loudly. I looked past one of the guys heads to see Dally standing there with a glare on his face and anger in his eyes. "What do you want Winston," one of the guys spits out, glaring at him? He was about to reply, when I pushed through the crowd and ran into his arms, kissing him on the lips happily. He kisses back wrapping his arms around me. "Hey," I say as we pull away. "Hey baby," he says wrapping his arm around my shoulder and turning to glare at the Socs. "These guys bothering you?" I turned to look at them and noticed with satisfaction that all of them looked shocked. "No it's fine. Everyone, this is my boyfriend Dallas Winston," I say looking at Chole as I spoke. I noticed a few of the boys looked nervous, and the girls moved closer to their boyfriends even though I know Dally would never hit a girl. Everyone was scared of Dally except me because I know he would never hurt me, that makes me feel special. "So what are you doing here," I ask, turning back to Dally? "I'm here to pick you up, you have a half day right." he replies. I smile and hug him. "Yeah thank you," I say smiling. "Come on let's go," he says. I nod and follow him, but not before he flips off the Socs. I laugh.
When we get in the car Dally sighs and clenches and unclenches his hands. "Why didn't you tell me about this?" "Tell you about what?" "This, they were calling you names, and grabbing you!" "So it doesn't matter," I say shrugging my shoulders. "Jessie come on," he yells! "Dal it doesn't bother me, they just tell me that I'm alone, that I have no friends or guys won't want to date me cause I'm a loser but I do have friends and a wonderful boyfriend so they don't bother me." I say grabbing his hand and squeezing it. He sighs and says, "ok but I still really want to hurt them, you don't deserve it Jess." I lean over and hug him kissing his cheek "thank-you," I whisper. "You're welcome," he replies, hugging me back. "If they ever do anything like that again tell me ok." he says. I nod. He sighs calming down, then he kisses my head and starts driving towards my house.
