Jessie’s POV
Dally’s been in jail for three weeks now. He got a month and a half, and let's just say I am miserable. Everyone has noticed how sad I’ve been and they’ve been trying to cheer me up but nothing works. I just want my Dally back.

Anyway I was sitting on the couch reading when Pony came in and asked me if I’m going to the dance. I shook my head. “Oh come on Jess you need to get out of the house, I don’t have a date either we can go and hang out and listen to bad music with Two Bit. Please,” he begs. “Fine,” I relented. He grinned and jumped on me hugging me tightly. “Yes! Thank you Jess!” “When is it,” I ask? “Tonight,” he replied. “What,” I yelled! “What time?” “7.” “Ok I gotta go get ready,” I say as I run up to my room.

Once I got upstairs I looked in my closet for something nice to wear. Surprisingly I have a lot of clothes and quite a few pairs of shoes. I get a job during the summer and save up for clothes and shoes. I started at my closet for ten minutes getting frustrated when I couldn’t find anything.

Finally I spotted the perfect thing, it’s a sky blue dress that finishes just above my knee. It has a sweetheart neckline, and little ruffles at the bottom that make it fan out when I twirl. It also has a thin brown belt around the middle.

It’s Dals favorite dress because he thinks it looks perfect on me. Looking at it made me kinda sad because it’s what I wore on our first date, but I want to wear it anyway because I also think it looks great on me. I slipped the dress over my head and looked at myself in the mirror. Satisfied, I started doing my makeup. I put on silver sparkly eyeshadow, eyeliner, some blush, and some light pink lip gloss. Then I picked up my curling iron, another thing I saved up for. I curled my hair in loose curls that flowed down my back. Finally I slipped on my silver open toed heels. I also put on a gold star necklace and star earring, and my ring from Dally. I looked in the mirror at my finished look and smiled. “Jessie let’s go,” Pony yelled from downstairs. I run downstairs into the living room.

Everyone looks at me and smiles. “Wow Jessie you look beautiful.,” Darry says. “Yeah Jessie you actually look like a girl,” Two Bit says, smirking. I stick my tongue out at him and walk over to grab my purse. “Ok I’m ready,” I say. I walk over and kiss Darry and Soda’s cheek. Then I go over and hug Johnny, and Steave. Then me, Pony and Two Bit hop in Two Bit’s car and head to the dance.

When we get there we walk into the gym and I smile. It’s the classic school dance, punch, chips and streamers. “Ew,” Two Bit says laughing. I laugh and we all walk over to the snack table. “So Jessie want to dance,” Two Bit asks? “Sure,” I reply and we walk out onto the dance floor. We danced for a while and it was really fun. Two Bit and Pony took turns slow dancing with me. And surprisingly Two Bit’s a pretty good dancer. I laughed as Pony dipped me. Then suddenly he pulled me up abruptly and stared at the door with a smirk on his face. The Two Bit turned and did the same thing. “Pony what,” I ask? I spin around and gasp. Standing there in a black leather jacket, blue jeans and a white t-shirt, with his classic smirk on his face is Dally.

My face splits into a grin and I run at him at full speed. Once he notices me he opens his arms and I run into them wrapping my arms around his neck.  He wraps his arms around me and picks me up spinning me around, making me laugh. A few happy tears ran down my cheeks, I finally had my Dally back. He sets me gently on the ground and smiles at me, he wipes my tears and kisses me.

It was the best kiss I have experienced in a very long time. We kissed passionately for what seems like forever, till oxygen became a need. We pull away and I smile and hug him again. “I missed you so much,” I whispered. “Me too baby, me too,” he whispered back. “I love you,” he says kissing me again. “I love you too,” I say after I pull away. It was then that I noticed that everyone in the gym was staring at us, some looked shocked, some were smiling at us, and some of the Socs looked disgusted.
