Marco stared at the strange girl before him. She had a mole like him, and a small, familiar scar on her face. His eyes suddenly widened in shock.
"Kassie?!" he exclaimed. He stepped forward and touched her scar. "Is it really you?" he whispered.
Kassie clasps her hands over her mouth. She didn't think she was going to be this emotional! A hot tear trickled down her face. Marco shushed her and pulled her into a big hug.
"Is it really you?" he repeated.
Kassie sniffed and hiccuped. "Y-yes, Marco, it's me."
Marco pulled Kassie away and held her shoulders to observe her face. He smiled.
"You're so pretty~" he cooed. Kassie breathed and looked into his brother's eyes. It had been so long, he's changed so much. But all his unique personality still showed in his face. She took a deep breath as Marco wiped her tears. He talked quickly and excitedly.
"Oh my gosh, Kassie, we have so much to catch up on! Do mom and dad know about this? Oh! It had been so long!"
"Excuse me, but do I know her?" Jackie asked. Marco and Kassie jumped.
"Hi! You must be Jackie, right?" Kassie smiled.
"How do you know?" Marco asked.
"Star sent me pictures," Kassie answered, shrugging.
"Hold up... how does Star know about you?" Marco questioned.
"So Marco, are we still going to the carnival?" Jackie asked worriedly.
"Yeah, can Kassie come along too?" Marco asked as they all walked out of school, his hand holding Kassie's. Jackie nodded. "Why not," she said, deciding that she and Marco's twin brother can be friends.
With Star...
Star bounced up and down on Eclipsa's bed as Lavabo ironed her royal dress.
"Oh, Lavabo! Can you imagine mom being coronated again? So fun!" she squealed.
Eclipsa fixed her hair in front of a mirror, patting it up. Meteora was outside the garden with Globgor.
"Star, why don't you go see how your mother is?" Eclipsa suggested.
Star bounced down from the bed. "Okie dokie!" she said as she skipped out fo the room. "Just leave my dress on the bed, Lavabo!" she called back.
With Marco...
"Today's fun," Kassie said, licking an ice cream cone. Jackie and Marco sat on both her sides, also eating ice creams. Marco draped an arm around her.
"I forgot how much fun I could get around you," he said, gazing into the distance. Jackie finished her ice cream and stretched.
"I'm beaten! Let's get going," Jackie said as the stalls and attractions closed for the night. The glowing sun slowly sets behind the beach. Kassie stood up.
"Let's go home,"
Marco, Star, and Kassie sat in Marco's room, laughing and talking. Star was super glad to finally meet Kassie and they make great friends. But then Marco suddenly got super serious and stared at Kassie's face.
"Uh, Kas, I know I've never said this before, so," Marco began nervously, "Sorry for... that," he pointed at Kassie's scar. Star stopped. "Wait, you caused that?" she looked at Marco. Kassie touched her face. She smiled.
"Eh, I already forgave you, looooong ago, brother," Kassie laughed and hugged Marco. He smiled.
With Kelly...
While those three were having fun at Marco's, Kelly lay on her bed, thinking. Her feelings were complicated, but she knew for sure that some of them were jealousy. Kelly stayed up a bit more, sorting her thoughts out. She looked at pictures of Marco. Kelly realized that she wanted to be with him. She wiped on her phone, showing another picture of Marco with Star. She also realized that...she was jealous of Star. Kelly envied Star's place; next to Marco.
Sorry if it's a short chapter...
