"Go GO GO!" Kassie whispered. Last night, she had hidden Kelly in her closet and now she was sneaking her out. Kelly slipped out the front door and walked away. She still owes Star and apology.
Moon looked around the hall. Know one. She slips into a hidden room and closed the door. The queen was standing in a dusty room with rows of shelves holding hundreds of books, all covered in a fine layer of dust and cobwebs. She moved forwards and started searching.
Finally, after a while, she pulled out a small, thick book cover in dust and grime. Moon brushed the cover of the book. It was plain red, without any names or captions. She exhaled deeply. This was the book. She lifted the cover and started going through the pages, dusting them off as she went. Then Moon stopped at a page with a faint picture of a lake showing up under the dust. She quickly brushed it off and read the writing which was in Mewnian (or whatever its called i forgot).
Marco sat at his table and tried to focus on his homework. But eventually he gave up and went to his window. The sun was setting, the orangy yellowish light spread over the skyline of Eart-ni. At this time of the day he would usually be looking out the window with Star. But she isn't here.
"This is enough," Marco mumbled. "I'm making up to Star,"
He ran downstairs and out the front door and jumped onto his bike.
Moon sighed heavily. She was all dressed up in her amour and shouted commands to Manfred.
"Manfred, get my warnacorns saddled!"
Manfred popped his head around the corner of the door.
"My queen, here they only have, what are they called, hoe-ses, I believe,"
"Yes, yes get whatever that is saddled. And fast!"
River held onto his wife's arm.
"Moonpie, are you sure about this? The legend might not be true! What if you get lost, or worse?" He asked frantically. Moon smiled weakly.
"I'm sure. It's worth a try anyway," she looked out the window into the distance. "I just want Star to live and grow up with the people she loves, in a good world. And with the humans ruling, that is not happening," She turned from the window and strolled out the door.
"You know better than to tell Star, don't you?"
River looked doubtful. Moon sighed.
"River, I trust you. Star will be crushed if she knows I'm on a quest searching for magic that might not be real!"
River sighed. "Alright, alright,"
Moon smiled and kissed his forehead. Then she walked away. A moment later, horses neighing could be heard and soon fainted as she headed into the woods.
River sighed. He was very worried about his wife, chasing a legend unknown. He scurried out the door, hoping to find something to get his mind off of this. Little did he know that his daughter was frozen with shock down the hall.
Marco's POV
I sped up towards the Butterfly castle on my bike. I couldn't take this anymore, simply couldn't. After Star came to Earth, we have been inseparable. I have to find Star to apologise.I threw my bike down when the Butterfly castle loomed before me, and started running into the building. I've been here before, so I was able to find Star's room pretty soon. It looked better now after the fix-up. I opened the door. Star was sitting on her bed, her head down.
Star's POV
It's over. Everything was broken. My plans to unite mewmans and humans were ruined, my boyfriend kissed another girl, and my mom off to chase some magic left over from the magic destruction. Did she really believe that magic was somewhere else other than the Realm of Magic?Suddenly, I heard my door creaked open.
"Star...?" A voice said. I'd recognise that voice anywhere. It was Marco's.
"What do you want?" I sniffled. He walked closer to me.
"You have to listen to me, Star. I-I don't know how I will apologise to you, or try to reach your expectations about the two worlds. Honestly, everything's been so messed up lately, I don't know anything now!" he stopped for a second.
"But I do know that I- I love you, Star. You, and only you,"
I could hear the honesty and loyalty in his voice. My broken heart was somewhat sealed. At that moment, I was so overwhelmed. It was incredibly heartwarming. I forgot everything, my problems. A small smile spread over my drooping head.
Marco's POV
I looked at Star hopefully. She didn't look up. My heart felt like it had been shattered into a million pieces. I turned to leave, with tears almost dripping down my face. Then I felt Star hand grabbed my wrist and pulled my back, quite violently, into a kiss. It was so warm and full of love. I looked at her face. It was full of joy. The tears officially poured down my cheeks, but they were tears of happiness.I touched Star's face as I closed my eyes to enjoy and deepen the kiss. She weakened her grip on my wrist. We embraced for a long while.
