She looked to see who it was who caught her going against her coach's orders

Hesitantly turning to the owner of the voice

Hoping it was not one of the snitches in the varsity teams who could tell her coach of her breaking the rules

But when she was able to finally see who it was, she let out a sigh of relief

"Jesus Taehyung, you scared the shit out of me"

Taehyung was also on his sophomore year and was also one of the university's fastest swimmers, having qualified to be part of Korea's national swimming team

Despite him being annoying most of the time, she knew he would never go behind her back and cause trouble to her

And if everyone had a "go to" friend, Nari's was Taehyung

Nari didn't know why but she always felt comfortable with him, despite behaving like a child always, he was always a good listener

She was getting ready to flick his head with her fingers, but was cut off by another voice

"Are you seriously going to flick the person who caught you eating junk food on season?"

Turning her head to where the source of the voice came from, it was none other than Jeon Jungkook

He was wearing grey sweats and a black oversized hoodie

"So?"

"So maybe no flicking, no snitching??"

He said with a smug smirk

Nari thought of the good and bad consequences of flicking Taehyung's forehead but sadly nothing good will come out of it

She brought her hand down and continued to eat her ramen, ignoring the presence of the two men

But her attention shifted to them once again when they both sat on the two vacant chairs to her right, Taehyung sitting beside her then Jungkook

"What are you guys still doing here? You know some people could easily misunderstand right?"

She said, not even looking at them

"Don't worry, there's me and Jeon here, we three look nothing but friends simply enjoying a break after training." Taehyung said

She scoffed

What he just said had her rolling her eyes

Nari thought of Jungkook as a competition

Despite them being in different sports, both of them were deemed the prides of the school

But it wasn't like she just saw him and then she decided not to like him, she always thought it was because of the pressure of having to be the best among the rest

Nari gave Jungkook a look that said screamed shithead

Jungkook sensing this, didn't need to look up anymore to see the look she was giving him

Jungkook thought the same way to anyways that a competition is a competition, and that things should stay that way

After eating, Nari disposed her cup and chopsticks then headed for the exit

"Nari!"

Taehyung called out

"Want to watch the football team's game?"

She paused momentarily, the grip of the push door already on her hand

She briefly looked at Jungkook before an idea popped up from her head

"Sure, why not?" She said with a sickly sweet smile, still eyeing the guy

"There is no way I'm missing out on-"

Attempting to piss him off but failing big time, he suddenly stood up then gathered his trash and headed for the bin, completely ignoring her words and cutting her off

Making his way to the exit where she was, he hastily bid goodbye to Taehyung

"See you later"

Then avoiding Nari as if she was a ghost, he pushed the door open then headed back to the men's dorm

Nari not believing what he just did, faced Taehyung with wide eyes

"That son of a bi-"

"Woah! Woah!"

Taehyung quickly covered her mouth before she could finish

Noticing that a mom with 2 toddlers with her, who were also in the store, were eyeing them both

Taehyung immediately bowed as an apology, then quickly grabbed Nari's hand and exited the store
