15. Night

What's taking him so long?

Nari's been waiting for Taehyung for the past 20 minutes

The patbingsu place was only 8 minutes back to where they came from, so she wasn't sure why he was taking so long

Just when she dialed his number and was waiting for him to pick up, she noticed something strange about the woman at the other side of the road

She had hurried steps, she was constantly looking behind her, there was a man in all black, trying to blend in with the night, but the woman was able to notice his presence

Nari could see her face, she was panicked, realizing she was being followed, she was trying her best to get as far from the man as possible without him noticing

She was just about her height, but Nari being sporty, was way more muscular and athletic looking and compared to the guy, who was tall and big , she knew the woman would easily be overpowered

If Nari had any conscience left, she would follow and help the woman if anything went wrong

And that was exactly what she did

Quickly standing up from her chair, passing by the doors of the convenience store, she made her way to the pedestrian lane

When it signaled go she immediately crossed the street, to the side of the road where the woman was

She lost sight of them among the few number of people walking

But nonetheless, she continued finding the same woman

. . .

Crossing the street, Jungkook dashed his way to Nari's direction

Spotting her, she was there, looking around in worry, making her standout from all the neutral looking people going home after a long day of work

He approached her slowly

With her back facing him, he lightly tapped her shoulder to get her attention

Looking at him, he saw the surprise that showed on her face, surprised to why he was there right in front of her at this hour

"Jungkook... why are you here?"

She asked, her mind temporarily forgetting what she was just doing

"I-uh"

"I wanted to-uhm"

"I-"

Feeling at a loss of words, he's been trying to say anything that would help cover how nervous he actually was

Nari could see that this wasn't going anywhere and remembering that there were far more important things to worry about, she had to cut him off

"Hey, could we talk later?"

"There's someone who could really use my help right now"

Not waiting for his response she turned away, ready to sprint to any direction she thought the woman might have gone

But before she could do so, Jungkook suddenly grabbed her hand, stopping her

"Hey, is there something wrong? You seem to be in a hurry"

Surprised with her eagerness and panicked state, he couldn't help but worry for her

Nari was starting to get frustrated, but looking into his eyes and seeing the genuine worry in them, she didn't want to go off on him

"I can't-"

An idea popped into Nari's head, she couldn't kill two birds with one stone, she needed help
