A Midnight Stroll chp. 31

CHAPTER 31!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! J

I was wearing a long orange bridesmaid dress for Chases and Kyle's wedding. I was with Drew who was wearing an orange best mans shirt and black dress pants. I was Chase's maid of honor and Drew was Kyle's best man. The wedding was in Orlando at three so we had to drive about two hours before we got there. Drew was driving Daniel, Liam, Marleigh and I to the wedding and then Drew was going to drive us to the reception. I sighed and leaned on Drew's shoulder.

"What is it babe?" he asked turning to look at me for a brief second then turning his attention back to the road.

"Nothing, I just can't believe this is actually happening, I never thought Chase and Kyle would get together let alone get married."

He smiled keeping his eyes on the road. "I know, it didn't seem like this would happen but it is and I'm happy for them, they really like each other" he said and smiled again

"Yea, I know. They seem really close, Chase told me they do everything together and tell each other everything"

"Yeah, they do, there isn't one thing about Chase that Kyle doesn't know"

"And there isn't one thing about Kyle that Chase doesn't know" I said and smiled to Drew

"Were here" said Drew pulling into the parking lot of the church and parking in one of the reserved spots. Drew and I walked over to the churches bridal room and I knocked on the door.

"H-hello?" said Chase's shaky voice

"Chase, it's Amy, can I come in"

"Um, uh, yea, is Drew there"

"Yes, why?"

"Don't let him in!"

"Oh, um, ok"

I shooed Drew away and told him to go find Kyle. I opened the door and saw Chase sitting in a chair by a huge counter and mirror with her mom standing by her with her hand on her shoulder.

"Hey Chase" she was wearing the long white wedding dress with a beaded corset top and ruffled skirt that her mom and I helped pick out.

"H-hi" she answered unevenly

"Are you nervous?"

She nodded and her mom answered for her.

"She's been like this all day, we got here about noon and she just slumped down in this here chair and let me do her hair, she just put her dress on a little while ago"

I looked at her hair; its naturally straight look was curled and was piled up on top of her head held together with orange sparkle bobby pins. She looked absolutely beautiful. There was a bouquet of orange flowers sitting on the coulter that was covered with a bunch of different kinds of makeup and hair products.

"It's ok Chase, everything is going to be fine, Kyle will be there waiting there for you, everything is going to be fine" I said walking up to her and started rubbing her shoulder

She nodded and looked down. Her mom went outside of the room for a second and then stuck her head through the door.

"Chase honey, it's time"

"Oh gosh, oh gosh, oh gosh, I can't do this" he said getting up and walking over to the bathroom in the small room. I followed her and saw her leaning over the sink with her hands on the counter.

"Chase, calm down, everything's going to be fine" I said walking over to her and putting my hand on her back

"No Amy, you don't understand, I CANT do this, I can't walk down that isle!" she screamed

"Why not? You love Kyle don't you?"

"Well yes, but..."

"But nothing, you love him and you want to marry him right?"

"Yes but...

"Then you should walk down that isle because you love him, because you want to marry him, because you want to be with him for the rest of your life!"

"I..."

"You can do this Chase, come on" I said holding out my arm for her to take

She smiled and took it. I walked her out to the back doors of the church and went to stand with Drew who was walking me in. Liam, the ring bearer, was walking in Marleigh, the flower girl first, then Drew and I would walk in, then Chase would walk in with her dad.

Drew turned around and looked at Chase who started to hyperventilate.

"You look beautiful Chase" he whispered

"Th-th-thanks" she breathed

"Chase, calm down, everything is going to be fine" I whispered

She nodded and turned to look at her dad who was crying. I turned back around to Drew.

The doors opened and the music started playing

Dum-dum-dadum, dum-da-dadum, dum-dum-da-dum-da-da-dum-dada-dum-da-dum

Liam and Marleigh linked arms and walked forward. Liam carrying the pillow with the ring and Marleigh was carrying a basket with rose petals in it, throwing then out.

I counted to ten. Drew and I linked arms and walked forward. I smiled at all the people and looked up at the altar to see Kyle standing there grinning like an idiot. We walked up and Drew went to the right to stand next to Kyle and I went to the left. A few seconds later we all saw Chase walk in with her dad. She met Kyle's gaze and they both smiled.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride!"

Chase wrapped her arms around Kyle's neck and kissed him. He wrapped his around her waist and kissed her back. The whole room erupted in applause and they pulled away and looked out to everyone. They grabbed hands and walked back down the isle

"Ok, now it's time for the bride to do the bouquet toss" announced the DJ

We were at the reception and Kyle and Chase had just finished their first dance. It was so sweet to see them up there dancing together I almost cried. I was so unbelievably happy for Chase and Kyle; they were going to be happy for the rest of their lives.

I walked out to the dance floor and stood in the middle of the group of the girls. Chase tossed the flowers into the air. They headed straight for my face and I put my hands up to shield it. They landed in my hands and I opened my eyes. Chases eyes were shocked and she smiled. I smiled too and looked over at Drew who met my gaze, smiled, blushed and looked down. I laughed and walked back to my seat. Drew got up and walked over to the dance floor for the garter tossing.

Kyle went under Chases' dress. She squealed and he came out holding her garter. He winked at me and flung it straight at Drew's face.

Drew's eyes widened and he caught it. Kyle laughed and Drew went back to his seat next to me.

I kissed him on the cheek and he smiled.

"I love you Amy" he whispered

"I love you two Drew" I whispered

Our dinner was served and we were just finishing desert.

"Alright all you couples out there, come one out to the dance floor!" said the DJ

Drew stood up and offered me his hand. "May I have this dance?" he asked

I giggled and stood up. "Of course, you could have more than that if you want" I whispered the last part and luckily he didn't hear.

He pulled me out to the dance floor and pulled me close.

We started to sway back and forth to the slow music and we looked intently into each other's eyes

I put my head in his neck and we stayed like that for who knows how long. Before I knew it, Drew was carrying me out to his car and set me in the front seat. I guess he thought I was asleep because he whispered something in my ear.

"I'll love you forever and always Amy, I hope someday you'll be my wife"

I smiled and blacked out
