Chapter 4

**DREW'S POV**

"Ya, um, sorry..... Bye" I turned around and half ran, half walked back to my house. Oh my gosh, that was totally embarrassing, I finally work up the nerve to kiss her and her phone rings!! Uggg!! I hated myself for just leaving her standing there but I had to do something, what if she hated me for it?! I mean it looked like she was going to kiss me back but I never got the chance to find out, I had to ruin it, uggg!!!!

A few days passed and I didn't see any at school, when I went to pick her up, as usual, in the morning, her car was already gone. It hurt to have her leave without telling me anything but I guess I hurt her more the other day on the beach. I pulled into my usual spot to see her car parked in the next spot. My heart skipped a beat. I got out of the car and looked around for her but I didn't see her. The bell rang; I gathered up my things and walked off to class. As I was walking down the hallway, I bumped into someone. I didn't see who it was but I thought I saw the familiar reddish hair walk away. During lunch, I saw her sitting in our familiar table with Chase and Kyle, they were laughing, I was jealous of them, I missed her laugh. She saw me coming and quickly turned away. I made my way over to the table.

"Hey guys"

"Hi" Chase and Kyle both said

Amy swiftly got up "I have to go, bye chase"

"Bye"

I grabbed her arm "Amy, wait"

"I'm sorry, I can't"

I let go of her arm and I thought I saw a faint pained expression in her eyes. I sat down.

** CHASE'S POV**

Me and Amy were talking, we were laughing but I thought I saw a slight pained expression in her eyes.

"So, where've you been, I haven't seen you the past couple days"

"Oh, nowhere, just been out sick"

"Oh, then I'm glad you feel better"

"Ya, thanks"

I looked towards the door and saw Drew, he was looking at Amy. She turned to look where I was and quickly turned back looking down at her food. I instantly

knew what was bothering her.

"Amy, what's wrong" was all I could say before Drew walked over.

"Hey guys"

"Hi" me and Kyle said at the same time.

Amy quickly stood up. "I have to go" she said quietly.

Drew grabbed her wrist. "Amy, wait" he said with concern in his eyes

"I'm sorry, I can't" she said and walked away

Drew sat down.

"What's wrong with Amy" I demanded

Drew shook his head "I don't know"

"Come on, I saw the hurt in her eyes when she looked at you"

"Ya, come on man, what did you do to her" said Kyle

"I didn't do anything"

We both gave him stern looks

"alright fine, the other day, after detention, we went down to the beach, I tried to kiss her but I totally messed things up, I left her standing there all alone on the

beach."

"Oh my God!! You flippin bastard!!!" I screamed "how could you hurt her like that!! She really likes you!!"

"She likes me?" his eyes brightened up

"Well she did until you probably freaking ripped her heart out!!"

"Ya man, I thought you liked her to, I can tell from the way you look at her" said Kyle with his arms crossed

"I don't know, I panicked, what would have happened if I kissed her and she didn't like be back!! I didn't know that!!" he yelled standing up "you guys knew that we liked each other and you didn't even tell us!!" Drew yelled getting madder

"Hey I didn't know until the other day and me and Kyle didn't tell each other until last night! Don't go yelling at us!! This is YOUR problem, fix it!" I yelled. Kyle was holding my hand so I calmed down. I sighed, "Do you want me to talk to her?"

"No, you're right, this is my problem, I need to fix it" he sighed and sat down.

**DREW'S POV**

I sighed and sat down starting to calm myself. She liked me!! She actually liked me!!! Although she probably hated me right now. I needed to fix this. After a week I decided I needed to talk to her.
